Shooting this Phoebe Cosplay set, my first impression was that the costume had a lot of details. Originally thinking a white-dominated dress might look plain, having it in hand revealed black cross-weaving at the collar and black lace stitching at the cuffs, creating very rich layers. To restore the character's lively temperament, a bright honey blonde hair color was chosen for the wig. Although the light blue cross hair clip on top is small, positioning it properly certainly serves as a finishing touch for this Blonde girl look.

We prepared two sets of poses with different vibes for this photoshoot. First, the single-leg standing pose in the first two pictures; making this action look relaxed isn't easy, requiring core engagement while guiding the angle of the large brimmed hat with my hands alongside the wooden scroll prop, aiming to recreate a natural moment of stopping and looking back while walking. We switched to white tall boots for a few shots, adding a touch of assertiveness; however, to maintain overall lightness and dreaminess, everyone agreed to shoot more versions wearing white tights with bare feet. Picture 4 is my favorite sitting composition—the long staff angles down from the steps, adding depth to the frame, with the skirt falling naturally over my legs, forming a great color harmony with the neighboring white and blue flowers.

The studio was decorated with many white and light blue flowers along with white sheer drapes behind, which neutralized the sharp black-and-white contrast on the face and costume. The lighting on shooting day was handled very softly, perfectly matching the character's external image. Every time I do Cosplay photography for a distinctive costume, what I enjoy most is tuning the character's unique atmosphere step-by-step in the studio. Though this outfit has plenty of lace and layered structures, moving around doesn't feel bulky.

While holding the long staff, I paid attention to its weight; its golden wing details felt high-quality, and the grip felt comfortable. Sitting poses required balancing the flare direction of the skirt with the tilt angle of the staff, which tests control over visual balance. Hair styling was another detail I watched closely—to keep the long curls on both sides fluffy without obscuring chest and collar decorations, the stylist adjusted them repeatedly.

The team collaborated smoothly during shooting, testing different light positions and standings. Shooting while integrating personal nuance alongside faithful restoration really helps understand the character's inner world. No need to force exaggerated expressions; a natural, relaxed state presents the character's quiet yet lively side instead. From planning to execution, the costume texture, color harmony, and pairing of sheer drapery with flower clusters formed the foundation of this creative work.

After every cosplay photoshoot, I carefully reflect on the set pictures to relive the feeling on set. Choosing a floral setting brought a great benefit: softening the rigid feel of the costume through environmental ambiance. The gesture of lifting the hat in Picture 1 exposes clear facial contours and a subtle upturned smile, giving breathing space to the composition. Before shooting, I specifically adjusted my contact lenses for a clearer, more translucent gaze.

I really love the tiny cross clip on the character's head; for a head of blonde hair, this detail acts like a key unlocking the character's soul, reflecting subtle glints under the light. Furthermore, the two footwear options tested during shooting—the first set of white tights fit snugly to showcase smooth leg contours, while switching to white tall boots subtly shifted my presence. Versatile expressiveness is one of the reasons cosplay fascinates me.

Summarizing the shooting experience: don't view it as a strict task, but as a secondary interpretation of the character. Being able to wear this costume, standing between white steps and flower clusters, is already a delightful experience. I'm very satisfied with this set—it preserves character traits while embedding my own personal understanding.
