[Yu Linglong cosplay] The quirky little zombie in the Mo Xing Yi outfit from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT

The official photos are out, and this set features Yu Linglong. The design of this costume is a classic dark style Chinese-style cosplay. The moment I saw the original design concept, I knew I had to try it. The main body of the garment utilizes large areas of deep blue satin material, with red and gold trim and intricate embroidery on the neckline and hem, creating a very strong visual contrast. The tulle spliced sleeves on the arms allow the overall look to exude lightness amidst its weight, naturally fluttering when I turn around.

The headpiece heavily tested my patience. The high black hair bun features not only a fixed crown but is also filled with blue feathers, red pom-poms, and golden tassel hairpins, achieving a high degree of accurate restoration, though it took quite a bit of time to find the center of gravity when wearing it on my head. For the makeup, I intentionally coordinated it with deep eyeliner to highlight the icy feel of the blue colored contacts, using a swipe of slightly dark red lip glaze to enhance the mysterious temperament.

The shoes and accessories on my feet are also parts I'm personally highly satisfied with. The short, modified design perfectly reveals the waistlines. Paired with that pair of black translucent stockings featuring fine lace totems on my legs, as well as the red string and golden ring leg band on the thigh, it visually stretches the proportions, making the leg lines look more slender. On my feet is a pair of black modified Chinese-style shoes decorated with bright red pom-poms, matching the red spheres on my head perfectly.

The prop arrangement at the shoot venue was done with great care. Aside from the ancient style lattice doors and screens, the most special feature was definitely the complete skeleton next to me. This Chinese eerie style highly fits Yu Linglong's identity as a "little zombie." The warm-colored small lanterns on the ground, the candles on the table, and the scattered old letters all contributed to building this atmosphere.

During the shoot, I held that long staff spiraled with red, white, and blue colored stripes with one hand, needing to maintain the tension of my arms and body to sustain that stance. Especially for that movement of extending my left hand toward the camera, with golden sharp finger armor worn on my fingertips, combined with the direction of my gaze, I tried to construct an oppressive feeling as if a hidden mechanism was about to be triggered.

The indoor lighting conditions were rather complex, with cool-toned top lighting intersecting with warm yellow local lamps, combined with the reflection of the wooden floor. We repeatedly adjusted the camera position several times before capturing these satisfying angles. The structure at the top of the long staff and the flexing of the wrists and fingers—every minor movement affected the final look and feel of the photos.

This photo set successfully brought out the calm yet slightly quirky exotic feel of Yu Linglong in her Mo Xing Yi outfit. Although the shooting process was quite a hassle, this experience of being completely immersed in the character was truly joyful for an Onee-san cosplay lover.
