This completed cosplay photoshoot features Amiya from Arknights, creatively woven around the theme of White Rabbit creamy candy. For wardrobe, I selected a blue-and-white checkered dress accented by crisp red-and-white striped piping at the collar and cuffs, complemented by multi-tiered white lace hems and frilly ruffles across the bodice and skirt. This ensured the skirt's volume and tiered texture flourished beautifully whether walking or seated. Beyond Amiya's iconic brown wig and blue ribbon bow, I incorporated a pair of oversized plush faux bunny ears with remarkably realistic fur texture.
The centerpiece prop was an immense plush body pillow modeled after White Rabbit creamy candy. Its substantial size naturally anchored the frame when cradled, establishing a clear visual focal point. To harmonize with this look, the makeup favored a translucent, dewy base paired with blue contact lenses to mirror her signature features; the eye makeup remained understated and sweet, aiming for everyday softness to capture Amiya's unique blend of leaderly poise and girlish warmth.
The session took place in an all-white cyclorama studio set up for Studio portrait photography. We opted for broad flat lighting supported by twin softboxes to ensure smooth, even skin tones while preventing the towering bunny ears from casting distracting shadows across my face. The photographer gave expert posing guidance: the first sequence featured a standing finger-heart, turning slightly sideways with my gaze drifting past the lens to maintain an airy, dynamic posture. The second sequence moved to a cream-colored couch, eyes closed while cuddling the plush pillow—requiring relaxed shoulders and resting a cheek against the candy cushion to evoke pure serenity.
The third sequence brought me to the floor, legs extended gracefully to one side. This framing flattered the hemline ruffles, black Mary Jane shoes, and white ankle socks, while leaning on the plush pillow offered natural balance as I stabilized it with one hand and met the camera's gaze head-on—an effortlessly photogenic angle. We concluded back on the sofa with a two-handed heart gesture, tilting my head with a gentle smile toward the lens to spark a direct, charming connection with the viewer.
The entire shoot progressed seamlessly. Given the dress's complex ruffles, I paid close attention during seated takes to prevent awkward creasing. In prop-centric shoots like this, the key is organic interaction between garment and prop, ensuring gestures feel intuitive rather than staged. Collaborating with @kali卡里 was a delight, and the final results achieved our exact vision—balancing expressive poise with luminous lighting to bring the whimsical candy theme fully to life.
