As a cosplayer of Tomo Ebizuka, today I'm releasing this group photoshoot of GIRLS BAND CRY. The shoot took place at the Sanmiao Tongxue Photography Studio, where the pink neon sign on the stage combined with dry ice smoke to recreate the passionate, hardcore live atmosphere of a concert as much as possible.
To showcase the unique charm of the character Tomo Ebizuka, I made a lot of preparations in costume and styling. The upper body is a black sleeveless top with yellow accents and metal buckle rings, while the lower body is paired with a dark plaid skirt and Black stockings, topped off with the iconic leg garter. This outfit highlights the figure well, bringing an edgy aura within a cool glamour that blends sexiness and rock vibe just right. To maintain a perfect condition before the camera, I specifically adjusted my standing posture and bass-holding angle during the shoot; the core had to be kept tight and leg lines couldn't slacken to support the texture of this outfit. The position of the leg garter also required special attention—it needed to visually elongate the legs without squeezing out excess skin, and keeping the back straight allowed for a rebellious, cool on-camera presence when holding the bass.
This group shoot was completed together by all five band members, and our chemistry was seamless. As the lead vocalist, Nina Iseri's outfit with red-and-black plaid and fishnet elements was full of explosive energy, and her expressiveness in front of the lens maxed out the emotions of the entire scene; Momoka Kawaragi's blue guitar look was crisp and cool; Subaru Awa anchored behind the drum kit with steady, controlled movements, providing a strong sense of rhythm for the entire composition; Rupa's bass role combined with her dark-style styling created a great visual complement and support to our side. The standing position designs, eye contact, and instrument angles were all adjusted repeatedly. The photographer kept shouting instructions in the studio for us to adjust our positions, ensuring that nobody was cropped out and that everyone could present their best side and front profiles.
Throughout shooting this set, the most exhausting part was continuously maintaining the character's demeanor. Holding a hefty prop bass, striking various poses of strumming with swinging arms and looking down into the lens while maintaining a cool, resolute gaze—all while preserving the integrity of makeup and wig under the heat of the spotlights—was indeed a dual test of physical stamina and state. However, looking at the final results, the backlit feel created by the spotlights in the smoke and the luster of the Black stockings material under light and shadow all achieved our expected results. The overall stage presence and composition are extremely impactful. Throughout the entire photoshoot, although utterly exhausted, I experienced the passionate sensation of a rock band performing on stage, fulfilling a major wish of mine for this character setting. Overall, it was a very professional and tacit group collaboration experience.
