Sorting through my shooting materials, this set of Ganyu photos has been sitting in my memory card for quite a while. Taking some time to look through them again today, the lighting atmosphere on site and the completeness of the makeup and outfit are quite memorable, so I decided to select the high-definition original photos and do some simple color grading.

When it comes to the preparation work, what took the most effort was actually coordinating the hair and makeup. The quality of this blue wig in photos heavily depends on the lighting environment. If the lighting is too harsh, it easily exposes the frizziness of the hair strands. Therefore, the photographer and I repeatedly experimented with the angles of the softbox before determining the light positions that could present a transparent blue tone. In terms of hair styling, the crown was intentionally elevated to create a naturally slight wavy layered look, and the front bangs were cut into uneven strands to bring out a certain hazy feel when looking sideways or lowering the head. The focus of the makeup was the eye makeup, using a low-saturation blue-purple color palette to echo the character's traits, along with a slightly elongated inner eyeliner and outer corners, giving the gaze a stronger focus when looking at the camera.

The material details of this Anime-style outfit were also highly valued when choosing it. The black-with-white-border outline of the collar is very structured, which beautifully modifies the neckline. The bell accessory and gold bow on the chest need to be adjusted to the exact center to maintain a draping feel during small movements. The black-and-white spliced ruffles at the cuffs combined with the black long gloves form a great light-and-dark silhouette during movements. The skirt features a layered design; the light blue fabric used for the inner lining combined with the lightweight white tulle of the outer layer naturally displays staggered layers when walking or slightly crouching, while the gold cloud prints on the skirt surface reveal a subtle metallic texture when light sweeps across. The white stockings and the light blue criss-cross straps below the knees are also details worth mentioning. I adjusted the tightness repeatedly when wearing them, both to make the stockings fit the leg shape for a neat look and to avoid leaving obvious indentations.

The first photo adopts a half-kneeling posture on one knee, which can fully reveal the wide multi-layered skirt and the bell accessories on the upper body. It also creates a slightly playful interactive feel through the dynamics of lifting the hat brim and raising the cuffs. Moreover, this angle can naturally display the leg wear, utilizing the light-colored carpet as the bottom background to keep the visual focus of the entire frame highly concentrated. The second image switches to a half-body close-up with the index finger pointing forward, where the transmission of facial expressions and gaze becomes more direct. The posture of slightly tilting the head to look at the camera makes the overall atmosphere look more vivid.

The shooting venue was an indoor space with large floor-to-ceiling glass windows. There was relatively balanced natural diffuse reflection light coming in during the afternoon, so the fabric texture of the clothing was restored quite realistically. To prevent the dark floor tiles from disrupting the purity of the frame, I specially brought a white circular plush floor mat, ensuring that the bottom elements remain clean and sharp whether in a sitting or half-crouching posture. Every time I recreate a character with such a rich amount of detail, the whole process—from fixing the wig, aligning the accessories, to adjusting emotions during the shoot—gives me a more personal understanding of this artwork's worldview. Pulling out the stock photos to slowly retouch them and organize my thoughts is also a way to record my continuous attempts in cosplay photography. The feeling presented by this set of Ganyu photos is satisfying to me at the present moment.
