Portraying Lady Avalon (Proto-Merlin cosplay) this time was guided by my years of experience playing Fate/Grand Order, allowing me to achieve a deep and faithful character portrayal. For makeup and styling, the priority was creating that ethereal, otherworldly translucence characteristic of non-humans—pairing pale violet contact lenses with a silvery-white wig to capture her detached, unearthly aura. In terms of wardrobe, the black fabric at the collar contrasted crisply with the white main garment, while the pink cross ornament on the chest served as the focal accent; during test-fittings, I carefully adjusted its fit to ensure balanced front-facing visual appeal. To embody the concept of watching over the journey, I choreographed poses holding a smartphone, aiming to create an impression of direct, face-to-face interaction with the player. Given that Lady Avalon's true identity is known and she hails from the Garden of Avalon, the Fate/Grand Order game screen in her hands served as the perfect narrative medium. Shooting a cosplay under this concept demanded precise mastery of eye contact with the lens. To express the gentle yet enigmatic essence of the Magician of Flowers, I experimented extensively with facial expressions and the subtle upturn of my lips. Because the on-set lighting was fairly concentrated, I repeatedly fine-tuned the height of the wig bangs and the angle of the side horn ornaments to prevent them from casting shadows over my eyes. Considerable care also went into post-processing—focusing on preserving the natural fabric folds and avoiding heavy filters to maintain a clean, crisp visual aesthetic. Approaching every cosplay with sincerity and conveying the character's nuances to fellow Fate/Grand Order Masters brings me the greatest satisfaction. Displaying the in-game character on the phone screen during the shoot was a fun interactive element, making it feel as though I had truly stepped into that world, offering spiritual guidance to everyone in need. It was truly a delightful photoshoot experience.
