I wore this Himeko outfit from Honkai: Star Rail at the Beijing miHoYo Only fan convention, and the red hair was particularly eye-catching under the venue's ceiling lights. The overall outfit has a black-and-white military uniform structure. The collar features a white cloth pendant and a choker, and the golden aglets and buttons on the shoulders have a really nice texture. Combined with the golden flower headpiece, the visual center of gravity is actually quite high up.

Regarding the makeup and styling, the yellow-green colored contacts were really refreshing this time. The red wig trimmed by the wig stylist @一个不会拍照的无能女子 has a great sense of layering, and the air bangs and sideburns perfectly framed my face. However, mature type characters are indeed difficult to pull off; you need enough aura to carry the costume. When actually taking convention photos on-site, in order to find angles that wouldn't look stiff, I spent almost the entire time looking for reflectors or trying to avoid that row of glaring overhead spotlights. The on-site light sources were complex, and I also had to watch out for other attendees accidentally entering the background.

Posting that I'd never cosplay a mature character again was genuinely a heartfelt truth. This kind of styling demands way too much in terms of expression control and physical relaxation; it's very easy to look like a wooden mannequin when posing. To recreate that elegant posture, I kept my back straight the entire time, and after a few hours, my muscles were completely sore. Plus, to make me look upright and tall, the shoulder structure of this outfit is quite stiff, making it naturally less convenient to move around in compared to JK uniforms or girlish styles. In a crowded and stuffy environment like a comic con, balancing frequent maneuvering through the venue with keeping facial expressions and eye contact on point was truly a double test of stamina and patience in my Cosplay daily life.

Fortunately, the feedback from fellow fans at the venue was very enthusiastic, and I even heard quite a few shouts of "Mommy," which made this recharge highly meaningful. The final color grading direction for this set of photos leans cool, highlighting the color contrast between the eyes and the hair. Although the photo editing pressure was high, the final pictures restored that intellectual and steady feeling, making it well worth all the trouble at the convention. The details of the collar and buttons are most prominent under the side-overhead lighting. If I cosplay a mature type character again next time, I must prepare softer fill light equipment in advance.
