[Sparkle cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail's Gorgeous New Year Greetings

When planning this New Year-themed shooting scheme, we wanted to present a passionate yet somewhat mysterious visual atmosphere. The red and black alternating costume with gold embellishments, combined with the winter maple leaves, red lanterns, and piled gold sycees specially arranged in the scene, made the overall set design highly elaborate.

During the actual shoot, we mainly utilized different poses to showcase different sides of the character. The standing pose shot primarily emphasizes the overall tailoring of the costume and body proportions, while posing with the fox mask enriches the elements in the frame. The sitting and supine leg-raising perspectives, on the other hand, focus more on highlighting the leg lines and that lazy, casual sense of New Year festivities. Shimmer oil was used on the skin, which beautifully displays the luster of the skin texture under the studio lights; this is one of my favorite details in this light and shadow cosplay expressive approach.

From adjusting the light positions to deciding on the composition, they provided excellent schemes, capturing that unique sense of magnificence just perfectly. In the process of recreating this roleplay, the choice of clothing materials—such as the lightweight tulle of the sleeves and the satin of the main body—went through careful consideration, hoping to present a better sense of layering visually.

Although the attire plus the wig carried some weight, making the long shoot a test of physical strength and endurance, seeing that the final cuts accurately convey the desired New Year atmosphere makes everything completely worthwhile. I hesitated a bit when selecting photos for this collection of sitting, lying, and standing poses. Ultimately, the chosen frames, whether in light and shadow or character expressions, preserve the overall color tone of the scene itself as much as possible. The visual focus of the entire set is concentrated on the red and gold colors, and the dark undertones of the background beautifully emphasize the character, keeping the frame clean and tidy.

When shooting this set of photos, a traditional wooden lattice window was specially chosen as the background to echo the New Year's red lanterns. The plush mats, gold sycees, and mask props used in the scene were all specifically purchased and matched for this theme. In the process of roleplay, mastering the details is crucial. Elements like the iconic double-sided red bows, the black choker on the neck, the red strap accessories on the calves, and even the bells near the ankles all make the character's overall style more three-dimensional and recognizable.
