After shooting this set of Citlali cosplay photos and looking at the pinkish tones in the camera playback, the first thing that came to my mind was the joke in the title—she is clearly an Obsidian Granny, so how is it that people actually call this face 'Mommy'?

Honestly, I was feeling a bit nervous before the shoot because the visual design of this outfit is highly recognizable. The long, straight pink hair with that specific braided segment, paired with cold blue contact lenses, captured the essence of the character to a large extent. To make those triangular facial marks look more dimensional, we spent quite a bit of time adjusting the makeup. Not only did we use concealer to cover my natural skin tone, but we also applied a gradient effect to the edges, ensuring they wouldn't look like flat stickers pasted on, whether through the lens or in person.

For the costume, the main tone is a deep, rich purple, complemented by blue and bright pink geometric patchworks. Especially the massive metal ring ornament right below the neck, with its gold frame and central blue core—when I first held it, I felt its texture and weight were perfectly spot on. Additionally, the thick white soft armguard on my arm with simple blue lines fits right into the style of blending daily life and fantasy in Genshin Impact. The multiple gold metal rings on the wrists are also a finishing touch. The outermost ring is inlaid with tiny transparent particles, which shimmer and reflect beautiful light and shadow when turned, adding a lot of depth.

Since she is a priest who loves gaming and staying at home in Genshin Impact, we specifically set up the scene in a gaming room. The setup included a pink-themed mechanical keyboard and mouse, paired with a pink gaming chair, making the entire frame look exceptionally soft and delicate to bring out the esports atmosphere. I chose a half-sitting, half-reclining pose with one hand lightly raised, matching a lazy yet calm gaze, mainly wanting to present a casual vibe of 'getting tired of playing games at home and turning around to look at you.' The photographer collaborated with great chemistry, capturing this lifelike atmosphere perfectly. The lighting also leaned toward a soft, pink glow instead of strong cyberpunk shadows, feeling more like the comfortable warm-toned atmosphere of a live-streaming room.

However, this is indeed a quick preview. To be frank, the rushed preparation left some imperfections. While we did our best to adjust the hair flow and root support of the wig, under certain angles, the wig cap's edge was still slightly visible. This is definitely a skill area I need to reflect on and improve. To accommodate the special triangular marks, the base makeup had some extra foundation and concealer layered on, resulting in a slightly powdery look under incandescent lights. But that's cosplay—a process of constantly finding the optimal solution through mistakes. If I get the chance to shoot this again in the future, I will definitely optimize these details.

Regarding missing her banner in the game, I feel a bit helpless now. While shooting these photos, my understanding of this character deepened by another layer. She looks like a sweet, adorable pink-haired bishoujo on the outside, but her core is actually an elder with vast life experiences. This contrast makes playing her exceptionally immersive. Although I can't summon her in-game for now, I can bridge the distance with her in reality through this set of photos. Special thanks to the photographer @Old_Eight for his patient guidance. In such a tight space between the table and chair, to capture my full silhouette and the sheen of those accessories, he practically stuffed himself and his gear into the corner just to get the final shots you see now.

Since we have to wait for the banner rerun, I will thoroughly enjoy my time dressing up like this in the meantime. After all, with such professional styling and gear, being able to experience this character's charm in reality is already something to be incredibly happy about. Today's note is simply to share some of my authentic feelings during this cosplay journey, hoping fans of this character can feel my sincere creative attitude.
