This shoot was set in a cherry blossom forest in full bloom, where the weather was just right and the light was exceptionally soft. When preparing this Kamisato Ayaka gear, the most time-consuming parts were styling the wig, tying the knot at the waist, and finding the balance of the wooden sword. The combination of white and blue looks very clean under natural light, and paired with the pink hair ornaments, the overall visual presentation carries both the sharpness of a swordsman and the elegant refinement of the character.

During the shoot, I tried a few different poses: resting the sword on my shoulder with one hand was meant to showcase a sense of relaxation after battle, while holding the folding fan to partially cover my face aimed to bring out a touch of mystery and laziness. The detail of biting a black ring in my mouth was actually a spontaneous idea to add a playful vibe, but during post-shoot photo selection, I found it didn't quite match the overall aura, so it was only used for one behind-the-scenes shot. The sleeves of this outfit are quite wide and large, which creates great dynamic movement when combined with the wind as they wave, though one must control the arm posture well to avoid looking bulky.

To capture the dreamy feel brought by a blurred background, the photographer used a telephoto lens with a very wide aperture, allowing the white petals and branches to blend into one. Passersby walked past midway through the shoot, glancing over with curiosity, but that's just how the cherry blossom season goes—everyone is immersed in the spring days. For cosplay, the choice of environment is truly vital; the exact same makeup and styling can yield two completely different feelings when shot in an indoor studio versus outdoor natural light. The shots I am most satisfied with from this release are the ones combining the folding fan and shoulder-resting sword pose—the lines are clean, and the color contrast is just right.

While sorting through the photos, I noticed that my grasp of the character's demeanor still needs to be more relaxed, but every photoset is an accumulation of experience. The entire process was exhausting yet full of joy; I started applying makeup and doing my hair at 7 AM and didn't wrap up until the afternoon when the sun began to tilt westward, switching between several camera positions in between. Although walking on the grass in geta sandals was a bit unstable, all these adjustments were entirely worth it for the final visual effect. This costume is actually perfect for spring, and if there's an opportunity in the future, I'd love to do another shoot on a rainy day or at dusk, which should offer a completely different atmosphere.
