For this Snezhnaya-style Lumine, thorough preparations were made from garment tailoring to prop counterbalance. The wig was specifically chosen in a cool-toned pale blonde with soft waves, accented by icy-blue floral pins and snowflake elements that serve as finishing touches. For makeup, matching the biting frost of Snezhnaya, the eye makeup incorporated deeper reddish-brown blending paired with crimson contact lenses, giving the gaze penetrating intensity under cold lighting. The deep-blue bodysuit was paired with a white cloak etched with frost patterns; textiles with a subtle sheen were selected, while black leather arm bracers and plush fur trim around the wrists preserved a combative edge while adding substantial visual weight. The massive greatsword prop on my back was the true centerpiece: though visually imposing, its center of gravity was calibrated so I could maintain fluid mobility before the camera. Lifting it one-handed or resting it across my shoulder demanded a firmly braced core to keep posture from faltering.
This shoot was divided into indoor and outdoor sessions. The indoor set was handled by @可乐泡枸杞啊, with remarkably professional studio light control. We harnessed natural overhead light filtering into the venue alongside softboxes to capture several sets of tight close-ups. For low-angle kneeling and crouching frames, muscle control across the legs was rigorously tested; to accentuate the elongated contours of the black stockings (Stockings) and legs, I sank my center of gravity exceptionally low while keeping the torso upright and proud. The sword's blue metallic luster read beautifully under the refracted light. The outdoor session was shot by @墨白, staged primarily across an open plaza. Under direct sunlight, facial expression management became paramount. Those full-split frames were genuinely challenging—balancing steadily while shouldering the colossal greatsword with one hand. Once donning the black pixel sunglasses, even without visible eye contact, exaggerated body language was necessary to hold command of the frame. Under natural daylight, the black leather boots and black stockings formed bold contrast against the gray stone tiles.
Throughout the session, I constantly calibrated angles with the photographers. For instance, turning into a slight profile flattered the bust and waistline, whereas kneeling on one knee or extending fully highlighted the legs. Though the costume is dense with intricate details, lighting and color grading harmonized the cool-blue palette with crimson pupils into a unified aesthetic. In posing design, balancing raw martial power with maidenly grace was key. Shifting between diverse angles and stances captured both combat dynamism and static, icy poise. The metallic finish of props and the textural grain of the fabrics resonated harmoniously under chiaroscuro lighting, delivering an aloof aesthetic with an endearing touch of gap-moe charm.
