For this shoot, I selected a predominantly pure-white dress paired with a long wavy Light purple hairstyle wig. Visually, the look emphasized clean, pure colors, so the makeup was toned down to prioritize a natural, translucent glow for the eye makeup and lip color. The garment features rich design details: a halter-style ruffled neckline accented with a black ribbon bow and metallic buttons. The detachable sleeves adopt an off-the-shoulder puff sleeve structure, cinched at the cuffs with black ribbons, complemented by multi-layered white pleats that significantly elevate the upper body's textural depth.
A metallic diamond buckle with purple crystals was incorporated at the corset waist, which not only cinched the waistline nicely but also balanced the extensive white palette. The skirt is constructed from multi-layered spliced lace tulle featuring subtle embroidered patterns; in good outdoor lighting, this fabric produces a very soft, refracted sheen. For the lower body, I paired it with a White thigh-highs outfit so the color transition from hair to shoes remained cohesive without bare skin disrupting the overall color blocks. During the shoot, I brought along a predominantly white unicorn plushie whose purple eyes and mane resonated beautifully with the purple accessories on the outfit. Holding the plushie allowed for poses like lifting, cradling, or resting it on my shoulder, ensuring the composition didn't look sparse while adding dynamic interactivity to the frame.
The shooting location was chosen on the roadside, specifically seeking out large trees with rugged bark textures as foreground and background elements. The rough wood grain formed a striking textural contrast against the smooth, lightweight white fabric. This shoot extensively utilized natural backlighting and side-backlighting, where gentle sunlight filtered through the hair edges to give the hair silhouette a translucent quality. To accentuate the outfit's texture, a shallow depth of field was deliberately used to blur the background road and pedestrians, locking visual focus firmly onto the subject. During the outdoor shoot, we explored several poses: looking back over the shoulder nicely showcased the back bow tie and the dress silhouette, while slightly crouching revealed sleek leg lines elongated by the White thigh-highs outfit. Because the skirt has an airy puffiness, its flow in the breeze during Outdoor photography was lovely. In post-processing, we maintained a clean, transparent palette without heavy color grading, ensuring the original texture of the white tulle, the contrast of the black bows, and the hair color were accurately represented, resulting in a fresh, natural, and dreamlike Anime cosplay look.
