Today I'm sharing this official Cartethyia Cosplay photo set from Wuthering Waves, a look I prepared with great dedication recently. When I first received the costume, my immediate impression was the incredible richness of the fabric layering: the black-dominated mini skirt paired with draping white and blue fabrics required careful positioning for each layer. The hollow cutout design on the black high collar and the gold metallic ring accents boast exquisite craftsmanship; to make sure these metal pieces stayed firmly in place during shooting, I used plenty of discreet fasteners during test fittings. Those two long white streamers with golden geometric motifs are the highlight of the outfit; cascading down along both sides of my body, they produce wonderful lines with each movement, complementing the translucent blue gauze sash to lend an airy lightness to the composed black foundation. The pinkish-purple detached sleeves are a unique styling choice, which, along with the silver bracelets on my arms, add striking visual highlights. To style the wig for this look, I took time in advance to layer the long golden hair, braid the side plait, and meticulously trim the bangs to make them look more natural. The Elf ear props and the blue twig-like tiara atop my head were the finishing touches, taking a lot of adjustment to wear securely while hiding the edges. For makeup, blue contact lenses paired with wide-swept rosy blush and the cross-star mark at the tail of the brows required repeated mirror practice to capture the character's Sweet girl charm blended with aloof cool.

The setup of the shoot location was another major highlight: a blue-and-white arched window backdrop, accompanied by a plush white rug, a wrought-iron bed frame, crystal candelabras, and angel statues, creating a dreamy and ethereal sacred ambiance. Sitting among these props made it easy to get into character. I especially love the shots where I'm sitting barefoot on the plush rug; the silver-white metallic chain and tiny bead pendant on my ankle gleamed beautifully under the lighting, with crossed legs and lightly pointed arches meant to showcase fluid leg lines. When shooting with the golden picture frame, I tried using it as foreground and an interactive prop, framing half my face or holding it before me to let the frame's ornate carving contrast with the cool-toned backdrop. To showcase different facets of this Young girl aesthetic, I also switched into clear strappy high-heeled sandals for a set. The high heels elongated my body proportions, offering a mature elegance completely distinct from the cozy barefoot languor. Switching continuously between sitting, standing, and crouching required keeping the costume neat while coordinating facial expressions and body movements. For example, posing on the pedestal demanded core engagement to keep balance while ensuring the posture of my legs and feet stayed graceful. Although the entire shoot was physically draining, seeing the textures rendered by light and shadow across the costume and props, as well as the final visual impact, made every bit of hard work worthwhile. I hope these photos allow everyone to feel Cartethyia's unique magic.
