[Cartethyia Cosplay] The mature woman temperament and cold heavy sword in Wuthering Waves

This shoot mainly revolved around Cartethyia's styling. To fit the character's mature woman aura, a lot of thought went into it from the makeup test onwards. The main body of the costume is a black sleeveless base top, featuring cutouts and golden metal buckle ornaments on the chest, while the front hem is made of white-to-blue gradient fabric printed with golden geometric patterns and texts. The most energy-consuming part was the headdress; the blue thorn crown on the forehead and the single horn in the very middle needed to be very securely fixed on the head. To prevent it from shifting during shooting, quite a few hairpins and clear tape were used. The wig was chosen as a style with straight bangs and long straight hair, with the sideburns trimmed slightly closer to the face to better contour the face shape. After wearing the blue circle lenses and pointy elf ears, the overall silhouette was fully established.
In terms of props, the great sword with an ice-crystal texture is really not light in weight, and the branch-shaped designs of the hilt and crossguard are very complex, requiring you to find the exact center of gravity when holding it to avoid shaking hands. Wearing blue gloves and silver wrist guards actually limits movement somewhat when wielding it, so I deliberately tried a few sword-holding poses before shooting. On my feet, I wore transparent chunky-heeled sandals, with blue branch-like decorations tied around the ankles, which not only echoed the theme but also nicely elongated the leg lines, paired with the golden tassel pendants on both sides of the thighs, maximizing the sense of detail.
The lighting in the studio was set very bright, with a pure white seamless background paper, which facilitates post-production cutout and makes the colors of the costume more vivid. The first pose facing forward with both hands open was mainly to showcase the huge blue semi-transparent tulle train, allowing the fabric to naturally drop and flow. The movement shouldn't be too stiff; shoulders relaxed, gaze calm and looking straight into the lens, trying hard to capture that detached mature woman feeling. The second pose holding the sword sideways is my favorite; the sword body is placed diagonally in front, slightly turning the head to look at the lens. This angle highlights the body curves while looking very tense, showcasing the layering of the heavy sword and the costume. The third pose is standing straight, holding the sword with one hand, displaying the details of the front of the costume.
Every time I wear this kind of cos costume with numerous details, I pay more attention to limb control and expression management. With fewer redundant movements and a focused gaze, the character's own aura can be better conveyed. Throughout the entire shoot, although wearing and wearing these things was somewhat tiring, seeing the perfect combination of light and shadow and clothing texture in the original photos made it all worthwhile. Everyone cooperated very tacitly on-site, and the stability of the props and clothing stood the test.
