The witch version Klee look is finally here! This time, major changes were made to the styling and props. Different from the Genshin Impact image everyone is familiar with, this set of client photos showcases a stylized interpretation infused with witch cosplay elements, retaining the character's cute undertone while blending in more dramatic red-and-black color schemes and magical textures.
The wig this time is a custom silver-white, meticulously trimmed and styled to retain a fluffy layered feel with delicate, natural-looking strands. Paired with red contact lenses, it allows me to master a playful and agile state during eye contact while exuding a touch of mystery when glancing back from a profile view. The makeup also serves as the crowning touch at this moment—clean and lightweight, with natural eye blending that accentuates the facial contours, achieving a very high level of compatibility with the costume.
The details on the costume are well worth mentioning, with a very distinct red, black, and white color blocking. The white puff-sleeve top inherently brings a crisp feel, while the large red bow on the chest and the black fuzzy collar at the neckline form a strong contrast, adding depth. The skirt hem and cuffs are embellished with many delicate small bows and large white plush pom-poms that feel soft to the touch, beautifully preserving Klee's original character traits. Paired with white over-the-knee socks and red straps, it infuses a touch of refined noble lady elegance into the cuteness.
As for the weapon prop, the massive black-and-red greatsword is highly eye-catching. It actually carries quite a bit of weight; keeping a straight posture without looking stiff while wielding it requires a certain level of core power. Thanks to the meticulous adjustments from the on-set posing guide, we were able to capture a cool sense of effortless ease during combat. Wielding that golden diamond-shaped picture frame for composition also required balancing the weight of my arm while finding the perfect intersection between my gaze and the camera, adding to the challenge and fun of the entire shoot.
The shooting sets this time were incredibly rich. Whether it was a corner with a festive Christmas tree or a highly vintage leather sofa, they all beautifully brought out the character's atmosphere. In particular, that set with the red velvet curtains and checkered floor, paired with warm yellow lighting, instantly created a rich, theatrical vibe reminiscent of a stage play. Combined with the final post-processing, it beautifully preserved the texture of the wig and the fabric weave of the costume with natural light transitions, completely free from any distortion caused by excessive skin smoothing.
From the initial styling coordination to the live shoot, and finally to the post-processing edits, the outcome perfectly met my expectations. I was genuinely amazed when I received the photos. Being able to bring my ideas to fruition is all thanks to the massive help from the custom wig, tailored costume, veteran makeup artist, and photographer. This attempt at a witch version gave me a fresh perspective on handling different styles. In the future, if there are opportunities, I hope to continue shooting more distinct stylized works for my Shanghai photoshoot booking at HoYo Wonderful House.
