[Krul cosplay] Hangzhou Dreamland event photos, dark Gothic style, black stockings and long legs

Just finished the event photo shoot at Hangzhou Dreamland. After removing makeup and washing my hair, while the memory is still fresh, I quickly want to review today's Krul event photos. This set of clothes and props took quite a while to prepare. From material selection and wig trimming to prop coloring, almost everything was meticulously crafted by myself. Because the character herself has a strong dark Gothic style attribute, the proportion of black, red, and white lace had to be accurate. Details like the ruby collar around the neck and the black stockings paired with over-the-knee boots on the legs were all meant to present that sharp and dangerous visual effect in front of the lens. This time, instead of choosing regular stationary standing poses, I tried many dynamic expressions of tension, such as the aerial flying kick posture shown in the picture.

Shooting that aerial flying kick action for the third photo today was truly a massive effort. Because the skirt hem and red cape are extremely heavy, wanting the cape, ribbons, and hair to reach their most stretched-out state simultaneously at the moment of being airborne required wire-hanging assistance, and the core of the waist and abdomen had to be tightened. After many attempts, we finally captured the frame with the best lighting and the sharpest action. The soul of this photo set actually lies in the black feather special effects; although they take a fair bit of time in post-processing composition, the falling effect directly maxed out the atmosphere. It was actually very windy at the convention site. To match the black feathers and the red under-robe, I needed to control my body's center of gravity in the air while ensuring my expression didn't break, which heavily tested waist-core strength and body coordination.

Regarding expression management, this character is not purely sweet; she possesses the arrogance and paranoia belonging to a superior being. Therefore, I tried my best to control my gaze into a state that carries a bit of aggressiveness yet remains effortless. During the shoot, the photographer suggested I lower my line of sight slightly, which, paired with the red-eye makeup styling, produced truly stunning photo results. Limited by the lighting and crowds of the convention venue, being able to shoot such a clean and spacious scene makes me very grateful for the photographer's candid shots and post-processing. To make the texture of the black stockings and the luster of the boots more prominent under the light, we specifically found this corridor with high pillars and arched ceilings, utilizing the backlight behind to outline the character's silhouette.

Walking around the convention all day wearing this outfit made the soles of my feet genuinely hurt, but seeing these event photos with such on-point lighting, shadows, and actions made all the hard work worth it. For today's makeup, I used a relatively pale base to enhance the colors under the eyes and lips, highlighting the character's non-human feel. For friends who want to try this character, I strongly recommend putting extra effort into styling the wig, as the curve of the bangs on both sides can greatly modify the face shape. Also, although boots and black stockings look great together, make sure to bring comfortable flat shoes—don't ask me how I know. I'll slowly release details from other angles of this photo set. I had a great time playing at Hangzhou Dreamland this time and saw many old friends; I hope to happily do cosplay together with everyone at the convention next time.
