This blue-and-white tulle dress paired with translucent Dragon horn styling yielded photoshoot results richer in visual texture than expected. From receiving the cosplay outfit to test fitting and finalizing the makeup look, the most painstaking part was actually securing the headpiece and managing the graceful drape of the thin tulle—because the fabric is so light, even slight walking movements create ethereal fluidity, though during the shoot I had to take care not to entangle the tassels around my fingers. For makeup, I selected low-saturation blue-purple gradient eyeshadow paired with light-colored contact lenses to cultivate a cool, airy visual ambiance; blush was applied sparingly, relying mostly on highlighters to brighten the center of the face.

The shooting environment was set up with a blue velvet backdrop, several white iron birdcages, and a massive white paper flower ball prop, creating a color scheme that matched the costume seamlessly. Sitting on a European-style blue velvet chair allowed the skirt's hem to fan out in its most beautiful state, though frequent posture adjustments were necessary to avoid pressing in creases. When holding the birdcage or holding up the flower ball, extending my arm angles was deliberate to accentuate the sweeping lines of the sleeves and ribbons. The photographer specially utilized softboxes and reflectors to render skin texture with translucent clarity, while post-production only slightly tweaked color balance to preserve the pure freshness of the blue and white palette.

In fact, the tailoring of this outfit is quite unique. The off-the-shoulder, high-collar design places high demands on shoulder and neck lines, so I engaged in posture training beforehand; my back had to remain straight while standing, or the collarbone area would appear bulky. The transparent tulle panels on the lower hem feature sewn fish-scale textures that cast faint laser-like iridescence when caught in light, though under live set lighting it wasn't overly pronounced, relying on post-production to subtly boost local contrast. The matching boots on my feet, though rigid in material, stood sturdily on the reflective floor without any fear of slipping.

Temperature on the shoot day was somewhat high, but thankfully the blue-and-white palette offered a visual sense of cooling, and most of the thin tulle was very breathable. However, the dragon horns and hair ornaments carried weight, causing scalp soreness after prolonged wear, so we took several rest breaks. The candle props were electronic simulations that wouldn't scald, but handling the birdcage's metal wire required care due to minor burrs, which I taped over in advance. The entire photoshoot took about four hours, switching through three posture combinations—standing, sitting, and leaning sideways—with final selections coming from the set with the softest light.

Regarding post-processing, since the original photos leaned slightly warm, I adjusted them to a cooler cyan-blue tone while preserving natural skin flush without excessive skin smoothing. Translucency along hair edges was enhanced through layer blending, making the white hair appear closer to matte silk. Tassels on the tablecloth and candle flame details were also retouched individually to prevent background clutter. This collaboration flowed with great chemistry, as everyone aimed to present a slightly melancholy yet pristine atmosphere rather than merely piling up visual elements.

When picking the cover photo, I hesitated briefly. The standing shot offered a complete full-body proportion where ribbons and the flower ball formed a diagonal composition, whereas the seated shot focused more on upper-body expressions and hand gestures. Ultimately, I chose the standing shot as the lead image because it clearly showcases the complete pairing of legs and footwear while the background blue velvet drape echoes the costume sufficiently. This serves as the full record of this cosplay journey—from styling lock-in and shooting to retouching, every step tested patience, but seeing the final result makes all those tedious details thoroughly worthwhile.
