"The moonlight connects us. Welcome home, Lady Moon Goddess." Sharing this Columbina Cosplay photoshoot from Genshin Impact, which is also a dedicated work of mine participating in the Genshin Impact Song of the Empty Moon creator incentive program.

From the moment we decided to portray this character, we considered a lot of details. The art design of Genshin Impact is highly refined; to present that feeling of being unstained by worldly dust in the 3D world, material selection and pattern making are particularly crucial. The costume as a whole utilizes a patchwork of white and pale blue tulle and satin, with the chest decorated with streamlined and gemstone-shaped pendants, while the shoulders adopt an off-the-shoulder design, which perfectly fits the Genshin Impact Damselette's touch of reserved pride.

The biggest difficulty with this photoset lay in the accuracy of the accessories—the white geometric hollowed-out neck piece, the wrist straps, and the most time-consuming criss-cross leg straps. To avoid looking bulky, the straps were made of a flexible fabric with a subtle shimmer. Complementing the barefoot design, I deliberately painted my toenails a light blue, which perfectly matched the overall blue-and-white base tone. The wig featured a sharp black and red contrast highlight, combined with the lightweight white wing hair accessories on top of her head and a pair of thin-framed clear glasses, flawlessly recreating the character's delicate and unpredictable traits.

For makeup and styling, the key lied in the eye makeup. To highlight the character's ethereal, divine aura mixed with a bit of a young girl's bewilderment, the red blush at the outer corners of the eyes and the gradient base color on the upper eyelids were intensified. Combined with the soft studio lighting, this makeup presented a clean, transparent texture in front of the lens.

The shoot was split into two environments. In the studio with a pure blue gradient background, we mainly utilized a single light source and softboxes to create a soft three-dimensionality, showcasing the character's multi-faceted nature through various sitting poses and hand gestures. A white column served as the sole prop, acting to focus the vision. The moment the wind lifted my long hair, the red and black strands intertwined with the fluttering blue and white fabric, and that dynamic sense of beauty made the entire frame come alive. Photos 3 and 5 are perfect embodiments of this interweaving between the dynamic and static.

The flower scene in the second half provided another dimension of romance. Against the backdrop of blue, white, and purple flower clusters and ancient Roman columns, the light and shadow became softer and more dreamy, closer to the serenity of the "Moon Goddess" descending into a garden. I tried more quiet, introverted movements there, such as clasping my hands in front of my chest and gazing into the distance, hoping this emotion could be transmitted to the audience through the lens.

For the smooth completion of this entire photoset, special thanks go to my photographer for controlling the composition and my makeup artist for the delicate adjustment of every single strand of hair and every accessory. As a cosplayer, getting closer to such a narrative-rich character every time is a process of reshaping my own perceptions. I hope this set of photos allows everyone to see the Columbina Cosplay from Genshin Impact's Song of the Empty Moon in my eyes, who has a special connection with the moonlight. Here, it is not just a restoration of the costume, but a sincere expression of the character's inner spirit.
