[Remielle cosplay] Convention photos from Zenless Zone Zero at Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo

The convention floor edits for this Remielle set are finally complete! The weather during the Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo was intensely humid and sweltering, yet to do justice to this Remielle cosplay from Zenless Zone Zero, I spent hours shooting under the blazing sun right in front of the convention center's glass curtain wall.

The costume features a deep blue and black color-blocked design, accented with metallic buckles and harness straps across the bust, sheer mesh sleeves, and silver star ornaments along the skirt's edge. Wearing this outfit throughout a convention truly tested my patience, as the colossal black wings on my back carried considerable physical weight. To best showcase the wings' sweeping span and the character's imposing aura, I constantly refined both standing and seated postures. Mindful control over my center of gravity was crucial; otherwise, the heft of the wings would pull me backwards. While standing, I kept my spine straight with arms slightly spread to counterbalance the visual weight; when seated, I crossed my legs to accentuate the lines of the Black stockings while allowing the wings to drape naturally behind me.

Cosmetics-wise, the pink wig needed carefully textured layering, with crimson ribbon bows and cross hair clips serving as striking focal points. To bring out the character's enigmatic edge, I added elf ears and intensified the pink eyeshadow blending to complement vibrant red contact lenses. For the lower half, Black stockings were paired with studded patent leather stilettos, visually tying into the silver star motifs on the skirt. I chose stockings with subtle compression to create a firmer, cleaner leg silhouette on camera, which, paired with garter clips and high-gloss pumps, significantly elevated the overall textural depth.

Scouting a spot along the exterior glass curtain wall of the exhibition hall worked wonders; reflections from the glass added a sleek, high-tech coolness. Sitting upon a white plush blanket on the ground allowed the blanket to act as an organic soft reflector, illuminating subtle jacquard patterns in the dark fabric and the delicate sheen of the stockings. The photographer was wonderful at coaching postures, guiding me through diverse leg positions and hand gestures—such as lifting one arm or lightly resting a hand across the thigh—to keep the wings from appearing rigid.

For fellow cosplayers tackling characters with massive wings or back rigs, I strongly recommend padding the inner harness contacts and using cross-back dual shoulder straps to distribute the load evenly. Additionally, sheer mesh fabric snags quite easily, so pack and store it with extra caution. Remielle's temperament balances aloof arrogance with effortless sensuality; during facial expression control, tilting my chin slightly upward while casting my gaze sideways with a hint of disdain harmonized best with the garment's commanding aesthetic.

I am genuinely pleased with the interplay of light and pose dynamics in this series—from garment coordination to the live convention execution, the final results hit every benchmark I had hoped for.
