[Remilia cosplay] Touhou Project: BAD APPLE Dark Gothic Style

This Remilia cosplay photoshoot was a truly unique experience, centered entirely around the BAD APPLE theme.

I chose an exquisite black-and-pink Gothic Lolita dress adorned with intricate lace and jacquard patterns, which took considerable time to adjust upon wearing. The blue wig paired with red contact lenses and a pale base makeup instantly established a striking contrast.

The set design was meticulously crafted: a black-and-white checkerboard floor complemented by red roses, tombstones, skulls, and a massive black coffin, flawlessly enhancing the Dark fairy tale atmosphere. The red apple in hand was the core prop; to evoke that dangerous, intoxicating aura, I experimented with various holding positions and angles during shooting. Wearing Spider web stockings paired with high heels played a vital role in perfecting the overall styling.

Special thanks to photographer Chacha, who masterfully utilized pink-purple and cool-toned lighting to sculpt spatial depth, casting rich textures across the skirt drape and hair strands. The shot lying on the floor was actually physically demanding—to maintain full-body composition and the spread of the skirt while simultaneously showcasing the spider web stockings and silhouette at their best angles, we refined the pose repeatedly over a long session.

The costumes and props crafted by designer Misaki and the team were exceptionally detailed, with every element from collar bows to cuff lace aligning closely with character lore. The shooting process was engaging; despite numerous props, the venue setting allowed us to quickly find the right vibe. We devoted substantial effort to choreographing positioning and gazes, and I hope everyone can feel this distinctive dark Gothic aesthetic from Touhou Project.
