This time, I made a dedicated trip to the Touhou Project themed restaurant at the Scarlet Mist Express Southern Cross Station. To embrace the ambiance, I cosplayed Marisa Kirisame. For hair and makeup, I styled the iconic long wavy blonde hair, paired with a black witch hat adorned with prominent white ruffled lace, a white puff-sleeve blouse, and a deep navy pinafore dress, accented by star-shaped buttons sewn across the bodice. Pulling off this Cosplay outfit requires careful fitting: raising the pinafore skirt's waistline slightly and balancing it with hair placement preserves the character's canon silhouette without feeling cumbersome during movement, keeping full-body shots crisp and agile.

Stepping inside, the thematic decor proved deeply immersive. Photo 1 was captured before a 2D poster; the background composition and ambient lighting aligned seamlessly, making it an easy choice for the cover. Subsequent photos capture intimate details after taking a seat: two plush dolls seated on the table—one of Marisa herself, and another featuring the green-haired character with a frog hat—perched atop miniature wooden chairs with remarkable fidelity. The cafe desserts were equally elaborate; the spellbook-styled cake boasted meticulously detailed box textures, bindings, and gem stickers. Paired with a yellow mousse cup, it tasted slightly rich and sweet, yet the presentation made it thoroughly worthwhile. For the main course, I ordered cheese baked rice topped with two star-shaped cheese slices and character toothpick flags. The flavor profile was rich and aromatic, with fragrant melted cheese elevated by hints of rosemary. Throughout the meal, thematic elements surrounded the table—from silkscreen-printed illustration placemats to customized drink menus. Because the session focused on capturing still-life shots and food displays, the interior retained a peaceful, serene atmosphere.

As a longtime cosplayer, embodying characters rich in subtle details always tests one's patience. The wig required meticulous combing for smoothness and curl definition beforehand, while the hat could not sit too low, ensuring facial contours remained visible so the eyes sparkled with energy on camera. Moreover, vintage-styled apparel wrinkles easily, so steaming the pieces before heading out ensured smooth fabric drape for optimal on-camera texture. This outing went far beyond an ordinary meal—it felt like a heartfelt gathering among fellow fans. The warm illumination inside Southern Cross Coffee complemented skin tones beautifully, enhancing the authenticity of the styling. Focusing on the sights, merchandise, and culinary details, I hope this provides a delightful guide for kindred spirits who cherish this world, letting everyone savor that magical wonder when a character steps into reality.
