I finally finished retouching this set of convention photos! Today's feature is Lemuen from Arknights, partnered with my friend who cosplayed Lemuel. I've always felt their canon designs form such a delightful aesthetic contrast—one rocking a sharp white collared shirt and black vest with a blue-and-white striped overshirt tied around the waist, while the other dons a pastel green tee paired with a flowing white maxi skirt—so we were determined to shoot them together at least once.

The illumination across the expo hall atrium was fantastic that day, with overhead ceiling fixtures casting pools of glossy reflections across the polished floor tiles. The photographer excelled at utilizing wide-open spatial framing; to echo the sleek modernity of the venue, we incorporated an off-white hardshell suitcase as our primary prop. The opening frame features me sitting atop the luggage with legs crossed, cradling a red prop apple in my hands while my little sister peers down at me from behind. I was thrilled with the compositional depth of this shot. To showcase the wardrobe's nuances, I deliberately hooked orange-tinted sunglasses into my shirt collar, while the colorful beaded necklace subtly picked up the warm hues of my crimson hair. On my feet were brown strappy sandals; although I wasn't wearing stockings, crossing my legs gracefully elongated the leg lines on camera.

For the second composition, we swapped positions: she sat on the suitcase while I stood behind, wrapping her in a gentle embrace. This pose genuinely tested our synergy because the white skirt draped across the suitcase required careful smoothing so as not to appear bulky. As I leaned in close, the trailing hem of my blue-and-white striped shirt cascaded naturally over her white skirt, creating an aesthetically pleasing textural overlap.

The overall shooting flow was refreshingly candid. The third and fourth shots captured us simply standing and interacting organically—me leaning gently against her while she rested a hand on her hip giving a thumbs-up, or me tilting slightly forward with a hand resting upon her arm. Because we were both wearing platform sandals, standing on hard exhibition flooring for several hours left the soles of our feet quite sore. To keep the wig voluminous and textured throughout, I frequently had to fluff and reposition the side ponytail of the red wig by hand.

Regarding the color palette, I fell in love with the interplay of warm versus cool tones and light versus shadow in this series. The crimson and pink hair popped with vibrant energy against the cool-toned expo architecture, while the sage green top and pure white skirt introduced a crisp, refreshing breeze into the frame. The shooting pace was brisk, yet the resulting photos felt wonderfully spontaneous and unforced. The costume was quite easy to move in, though wearing the leather waistbelt cinched tightly for hours left slight pressure marks after taking it off.

Lemuen's temperament leans composed and tranquil, yet carries an unmistakable quiet presence, so I kept my gaze steady and serene without overt or exaggerated expressions. In my interactions with Lemuel—whether she was looking at me or I was watching over her—we strove to embody that deep, unspoken sisterly bond rooted in their lore. I am thoroughly pleased with both the lighting and composition of these convention photos; it feels like handing in a truly satisfying answer sheet for a collaborative project we planned for so long.
