[Rem Convention Photo] The Blue-Haired Catgirl Maid in Shuiyoucheng

The set of short blue-haired maid outfit convention photos taken at Shuiyoucheng today is finally out.
The location chosen for this shoot was Shuiyoucheng. The lighting conditions for indoor convention photos aren't actually very friendly, but the gaffer and photographer cooperated great this time. A large area of soft light was cast onto my face, making the skin tone look very white, fair, and translucent, without any harsh shadows.
Let's talk about this costume. A classic black-and-white color-blocked maid dress, featuring a large amount of white ruffled treatments at the neckline, with thin black line small bowknots dotted in the middle. Three vertically arranged bowknots sit on the chest, carrying both black and white colors to increase visual layering. The design of the sleeves is quite special: the upper body is sleeveless, paired with detached wide black bubble sleeves, and the cuffs and arm bends are likewise lined with white multi-layered ruffles. The waist girdle area features a waist-slimming design, sketching out the waistline very clearly, forming a strong contrast with the lower body's puffy skirt hem.
The skirt hem is a black-and-white two-toned pleated structure, embellished with multi-layered ruffles. To highlight the look, I lifted the skirt hem with my hand in the fourth picture; the layering of the skirt came out immediately, while also happening to reveal the white tights on the legs. The cooperation of white tights and a black skirt hem has always been a highly attractive element in anime photography, both showcasing the character's well-behaved temperament and harboring a touch of lightweight sexiness, with distinct layers that don't look heavy.
The headpiece section is the key focus. The blue-and-white interwoven plush cat ears are exceptionally eye-catching. On the base below the cat ears, a row of white fabric rose flowers wraps around, just connecting to the wig. The wig is a bright blue short bob style, with the bangs being particularly heavy, completely blocking the right eye. A pink cross-star hairpin is clipped on the left bangs. On the right side of the head, it's also decorated with pink curled ribbons; these details make the overall styling appear playful and dynamic.
During the shooting process, the photographer captured many different countenances. In the first picture, I reached out my hand toward the direction of the lens, carrying a sense of interaction. The second and fifth pictures are a side profile and a front view resting my chin in my hands respectively, keeping the gaze focused and lips slightly pursed, manifesting a quiet state. In the third picture, I made an OK hand gesture with a natural smile, appearing to carry quite a bit of approachability. The last one is a sitting posture; although shot amidst the convention crowd, the backdrop was completely blurred out into various color blocks by a large aperture. The originally cluttered live environment turned into a solid color backdrop accentuating the character, making the subject highly prominent. The warm-toned lighting of Shuiyoucheng contrasted with the cool blue of the wig, preventing the frame colors from looking too monotonous.
In fact, every time I bring out this kind of maid outfit cosplay, sorting out the garments and wearing the accessories takes quite a bit of thought. Especially the management of the wig, along with the positioning of the cat ears and ribbons, all need repeated adjustments. Coupled with the fact that convention photos are generally quite rushed for time, fortunately the cooperation with the photographer was very smooth this time, capturing many satisfying moments within a limited window. Although the clothes look intricate, the fabric texture is quite lightweight, and I didn't feel very muggy or hot during the shooting process, making the overall experience great. This combination of a blue-haired black-and-white maid dress counts as a relatively classic mix, and I hope to deliver that natural and sweet atmosphere.
Now the convention photos have been completely sorted out. Although it's just a daily record of a comic convention, every single one is treated seriously. The archiving of this look can be considered completed.
