[Rem cosplay] A Fresh Attempt at a Cat girl Maid outfit

This shoot features Rem from Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, combined with a Cat girl concept. The hairstyle is the standard light-blue short wig, which is quite bright and requires careful brushing to prevent frizz. It is paired with a white Maid outfit with black trim, featuring ruffled cuffs, white cat ears, and a fluffy long blue tail. The tail was secured at the back of the waist to maintain a natural dangling angle. For optimal display and photo editing, I chose over-the-knee White stockings to flatter the leg proportions. The shoot was done directly as indoor mirror selfies without professional cameras or complex lighting setups, using just a smartphone mounted on a tripod stand and adjusting angles. To get these three photos, I had to repeatedly wipe dust off the mirror and pay attention to camera reflections. The first photo is a side-kneeling pose, which better showcases the curve of the tail and the layered folds at the back of the skirt. The second photo is a frontal kneeling pose, clearly highlighting the bow at the neckline and the tassel details on the sleeves, adopting a classic 2D character pose. The third photo is a standing pose, slightly lifting the hem to showcase the contrast between the White stockings and the skirt, with clean overall lines making it the best shot for elongating the legs. The fabric of this costume is quite substantial, especially with multiple petticoat layers beneath the skirt; though slightly heavy to wear, it creates fantastic layers when spinning or kneeling on the plush rug. My goal was a casual, home-style aesthetic, so I opted against complicated backgrounds, using the plain white walls, beige curtains, and round floor cushions at home. The cat ears on top required angle adjustments to fit the face shape properly. Since Rem originally has a resilient personality, adapting her into a softer, cuter Cat girl style prompted the usual OOC apology. From putting on the outfit myself to finding angles in the mirror, the whole process was genuinely fun, especially spending extra effort to ensure the faux blue tail didn't look stiff. When taking phone selfies, angling the camera slightly lower helps make the legs look longer. After shooting for about half an hour, I selected and edited these three photos, hoping to convey the different vibes of this costume in both dynamic and static poses.
