For this Jalter shoot, I poured immense effort into everything from wig styling to armor craftsmanship. In particular, to achieve that hard-edged metallic texture on the glossy black armor, I polished the prop surfaces repeatedly during production—ensuring bright specular highlights under strong light without losing subtle tonal gradation due to overexposure. The black headpiece and cheek accents were secured firmly, though angle adjustments remained vital during actual shooting to avoid messy, cluttered reflections.

The core prop was this black longsword adorned with pink patterns. The sword hilt's weight balance and red accents provided an excellent pop of color to the overall visual, feeling delightfully hefty in hand. The banner held in my other hand featured a predominantly white base, which, against the dark ruins, turned into a striking focal point that broke up the somber tone. Swinging the sword and letting the flag flutter required significant physical exertion during the Cosplay photography session; moving back and forth left my arms quite sore, but the final cold, imposing posture perfectly embodied my vision for this TYPE-MOON character.

Our location was an abandoned concrete frame structure with great spatial depth. Crossbeams and broken floor slabs, combined with faint natural light filtering through structural gaps, matched my dark costume baseline impeccably. Devoid of cluttering ambient distractions, viewer attention remains fully locked on character contours and weapon craftsmanship. For lighting, the photographer applied extreme side-backlighting alongside local fill lights, casting sharp rim lighting along shoulder armor edges and wig strands. This allowed the subject to pop vividly from dark backgrounds without bleeding into shadows. Select close-ups used inverted or tilted compositions to evoke an otherworldly, oppressive visual impact.

For makeup design, I meticulously pale-toned my complexion to look cooler, paired with light lip tones to accentuate a sense of detachment. The armor set carried notable weight; maintaining an upright, regal posture amidst metallic textures tested my core strength, though that remains part of the charm in Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) cosplay. Portraying dark-styled Fate/Grand Order characters demands restrained body language and focused eye contact—transmitting character presence through cold posture rather than dramatic emotional outbursts. Balancing eyeshadow and shading was equally crucial to prevent makeup from looking muddy under harsh key lights, and this execution turned out wonderfully. Editing cold-toned armor sets follows a clear direction: amplifying contrast and dimming surroundings to preserve physical material textures. I thoroughly enjoyed hunting for optimal camera angles with the photography team inside built ruin sets, fine-tuning light and shadow to sculpt a three-dimensional story within flat imagery.
