[Linnea Cosplay] Pink-Haired Elf in Genshin Impact

For this cosplay outfit, a lot of thought went into researching it from preparation to shooting. The main focus was on how to combine this pink-and-blue hair color with the off-the-shoulder red-and-white outfit to create a harmonious visual effect.

The texture of the Pink wig is actually quite tricky to manage under indoor lighting, as excessive reflection can easily ruin the sense of layering. So for hairpiece attachment, I specifically adjusted the position of that blue crystal ornament, securing it inside the hairnet with a magnetic attachment; this ensured a natural arch for the bangs while preventing it from falling off during the shoot. To fit the character's agile yet mysterious aura, the pointed Elf ears prop was custom-ordered in advance. When wearing them, care must be taken to adjust the angle and skin tone transition, ensuring no noticeable edge marks show up in front of the lens.

For makeup, I chose a technique that emphasizes eye contours. Red-brown and pink tones were blended and layered, especially deepening the shadow on the lower eyelid to give the eyes more depth. This makeup style, combined with naturally curled false eyelashes, made the overall presentation even more exquisite. I deliberately applied the lashes in segments to avoid a stiff, plastic look, aiming for a natural curve.

In terms of styling, the red-and-white design focuses heavily on layering. The white trim at the neckline and elements featuring gold and blue gems on the chest, along with a dark gray geometric-patterned long strap below, create a great visual line. The off-the-shoulder cut places certain demands on the collarbone and shoulder lines, so I practiced poses beforehand specifically for this feature, ensuring natural shoulder positioning and arm placement that complements the overall presence. The pieced sleeve sections present a nice sense of extension under the lens. This outfit actually feels heavier in practice than it looks visually, somewhat limiting movement, but these sacrifices were well worth it for a great visual result.

During the actual shoot, I used a flash combined with a softbox. This lighting setup makes skin tones look translucent, but can easily flatten facial features. To maintain three-dimensionality, I intentionally adjusted my face angle, slightly tilting my chin up to let the light naturally define the jawline and neck shadows. The final selected photos show quite natural expressions without over-forcing poses.

During post-processing, I didn't perform major facial reshaping; I mainly kept the original facial contours while spending time fine-tuning color balance, allowing the lighting on the pink hair and red-and-white outfit to blend more seamlessly while giving the skin tone a soft texture. To reflect personal creative copyright, I added my own watermark branding and a small sticker to the photos. This watermark serves as a signature and a record.

Ultimately, every cosplay is a balancing act between understanding the character and self-expression. Although limited by shooting conditions and individual differences, making a 100% precise recreation impossible, the process of contemplating how actions, expressions, and costume details come together is a deeply enjoyable experience in itself. Through these photos, I hope everyone can feel my unique interpretation of this character and the distinct charm of this look.
