On a 34-degree hot summer day, wearing this fluffy, thick cream-white knit sweater coat while standing in a vine path full of greenery, with a huge gradient animal tail dragging behind me—this kind of extreme contrast between ice and fire is probably something only those who have experienced it firsthand can understand. In order to restore this character's clear, agile, and healing traits, this outfit absolutely could not be compromised, even if I was dripping with sweat.

Let's talk about the styling concept this time. The golden-yellow long hair on top paired with the iconic green colored contacts immediately brought out the soul of the character. Around the outer edge of the fluffy animal ears, a thin cyan-blue lace-edged headband was added, and a cartoon plush doll with big black eyes sat right on top as the finishing touch, making the head details appear richer and more vibrant. The main body of the costume consists of a white shirt, a red bow tie, and a cyan-blue high-waisted skirt. The front of the skirt features white crisscross lacing decorations, and the hem edge is adorned with delicate little lace trims. The ruffled cuffs of the cream-white knit cardigan enhance the fluffy and soft feel. The shoes are paired with vintage brown Mary Janes and lace-trimmed socks. The overall blue, white, and red color scheme is very refreshing, fitting the character's natural pastoral temperament as an Animal-eared girl.

For this shoot, a small log-colored woven rattan flower basket was specially prepared, filled with white-and-yellow faux daisies, as well as that small black animal plush doll that also served as a hair accessory. The addition of the flower basket gave the entire set of poses a natural anchor point; whether lifting the basket with one hand or cradling it with both hands, it significantly enhanced the sense of interaction in the frame. The choice of the tail was also key; this huge tail, transitioning from brownish-yellow to snow white, has very thick fur. Whether spread out and draping down or swaying naturally, it beautifully held up the beast-girl atmosphere during this outdoor cosplay experience.

The sunlight on the day of the shoot was very piercing, which brought a considerable challenge to light control. We found a sheltered spot where vines interwove in the forest, utilizing the highlights from the dappled tree shadows falling on the body to create dreamy light spots. In the side profile photo sitting on the low stone in picture four, combined with a large area of side-backlight, the character's silhouette and the fluffiness of the fur were perfectly outlined, and the large aperture also blurred the green leaves in the background very softly. To ensure that the fluffy texture didn't appear greasy under the lens, we strengthened the setting step in the makeup, choosing matte setting powder to locally suppress the highlight areas, solely to prevent sweat from causing reflections under the light and shadow in the forest.

This costume was indeed extremely hot to wear, especially the plush coat, which was completely airtight. To smoothly complete this set of works, the photographer and I adopted a highly efficient assembly line style workflow of "shoot one frame, take off the coat to catch some air." The final presentation of this work blends the breath of nature with the character's healing vibe. Although going on outdoor shoots always comes with sweat, mosquitoes, and unspeakable fatigue, whenever I see those naturally flowing lights and shadows in the finished photos, along with the character's clean, agile, and pure visual performance, all the tiredness and effort are completely cured.
