This time, I did a Chongqing cosplay shoot at Xingxing Studio for Luo Tianyi's 'Grain in Ear' Chinese-style look. The overall concept centers around this modified white Chinese qipao with gold trim, paired with Luo Tianyi's signature silver-gray twin loop buns and emerald eyes, attempting to present a vocal quality that is both ethereal and lively before the lens.

A lot of thought went into the scene setup. The Chinese carved wooden window lattices, red plum blossoms, and white chiffon in the studio formed a striking contrast of colors. We also incorporated traditional items like the guqin, a round silk fan, and bamboo slips, hoping to emulate the texture of traditional figure paintings in the composition.

There were many interesting details during the shoot. For example, the lighting experiment in Photo 2: the photographer used a strong overhead backlight combined with white smoke to create a visual effect similar to a stage spotlight. To capture the perfect moment of the flowing smoke, we repeatedly scattered dry ice and fanned it manually, taking dozens of shots before choosing the most satisfying one. Ultimately, the atmospheric beam of light passing through the smoke and landing on the red plum branches and my body truly met our expectations.

The lying-down perspective in Photo 3 was also quite challenging. The wooden floor was hard, and with the intricate embroidery details of the clothing, striking a relaxed yet graceful pose from an overhead angle really tested my posture control. The team and I repeatedly adjusted the angles of my limbs, and to avoid wrinkling the fabric, I had to suspend part of my body weight. The resulting image turned out to have a touch of lightness and agility, breaking away from the conventional, well-balanced composition of typical Chinese-style photography.

As for the props, the bamboo slips in Photo 5 added a scholarly aura, while the translucent round fan in Photo 6 made the overall mood appear more hazy and soft. This makeup and outfit style highly complement the real-life set, bringing out the exquisite nature of an ACG character while blending the elegance of traditional Chinese aesthetics. I hope this ancient style cosplay atmosphere touches everyone.
