[Luo Tianyi cosplay] ACG private photoshoot Log: Blue and White Bouquet & Silver-Haired Maiden

This Luo Tianyi cosplay styling mainly revolved around meticulous hair/makeup and blue-and-white themed apparel. Rather than conventional upright shots, a lying-down perspective was chosen for this session.

Throughout the preparation process, the most time-consuming part was the ring-shaped hair loops on the head. This look required generous styling hairspray and fine wire support to keep the two rings in a flawless curve. For hair fibers, a lustrous silver-white wig was selected for its exceptional smoothness; however, during the lying-down shoot, the positioning of the Silver-haired twin tails had to be readjusted repeatedly to prevent creasing.

In terms of makeup, to match the character's cool and aloof aura, the base makeup was applied thin and translucent, focusing on concealing imperfections so the skin retained a natural glow. The eye makeup was the highlight: highly translucent green colored contacts were paired with light-toned shimmer eyeshadow and elongated false eyelashes to reduce realistic human texture and emphasize 2D anime-style large eyes. The lip makeup featured a delicate soft pink with blurred lip lines, creating a more youthful, doll-like impression.

The costume was a Blue and white dress featuring a Chinese mandarin collar with delicate tassels, alongside semi-sheer tulle and satin patchwork beneath the neckline. This fabric is unforgiving with wrinkles; if any part isn't smoothed out while lying down, it creates a bulky appearance on camera, requiring me to constantly adjust body position to drape the skirt smoothly.

For props, a bouquet of blue-and-white artificial roses was prepared with great textural quality. Due to the lying-down composition, the bouquet appeared right at the edge of the frame, filling empty background space while adding a blue-and-white visual focus to the cool-toned shot. Gray fabric was selected for the background because gray effectively neutralizes overly bright and white tones, elevating the overall visual texture.

Lighting utilized softboxes with cool tones, and post-processing unified the colors, enhancing a dreamy, airy atmosphere. Skin retouching preserved natural texture with minimal smoothing, while clarity on the eyes and lips was fine-tuned to resemble an exquisite porcelain doll. Mostly shot indoors, the ACG private photoshoot space was limited, but altering angles still yielded rich variations.

Although friction between the tulle and satin when lying down took considerable effort to smooth out, and the wig tangled slightly after prolonged lying, I was very pleased with the final photos. The shoot demanded immense patience, especially when balancing head-to-body proportions, as slight head tilts quickly altered the doll-like facial balance. The overall styling achieved high fidelity, capturing the static beauty of 2D aesthetics in a relaxing photoshoot experience.
