[Independent anime convention tour] Convention Photo Shoot of a Pink Maid Outfit

This weekend I arrived at the Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo! For this independent anime convention tour, I specially brought this pink maid outfit cosplay to shoot. The convention venue was crowded with people. To avoid the cluttered background, I specially found the edge of the exhibition hall where the light was soft. Combined with the glowing halo prop overhead and the plushie in my hands, the overall atmosphere fit perfectly.

I was quite relaxed during the shoot, trying my best to showcase the character's light and playful temperament. The shot of me sitting on the carpet holding the plush toy in front of the lens feels very natural. Actually, changing outfits and moving props at the venue was quite physically draining, but seeing the final snapshots captured by the photographer makes all the hard work completely worth it.

The ruffles, bows, and white thigh-high socks show very clear details under the natural light. There was no forced posing, but rather capturing the relaxed state during our interactions. Aside from shooting photos, I also visited quite a few booths this time and exchanged tips with fellow enthusiasts on makeup and styling maintenance. The charm of a Guangzhou Anime Convention probably lies in this tacit atmosphere where like-minded people gather.

The format of an independent anime convention tour gives me more time to adjust my condition, and I hope to unlock more different convention shooting styles next time. Honestly, no matter where cosplay is shot, the chemistry with the photographer and the changes in the venue environment will always bring unexpected results. This light-colored outfit is extremely refreshing for a summer expo, and it also carries a touch of dreaminess.
