[Mihara cosplay] Convention photos from Goddess of Victory: NIKKE are here!

This set of Convention photos shot in collaboration with photographer Liu Yao at the convention went through several rounds of brainstorming, from outfit to poses. Actually, the foot traffic at the exhibition was huge that day; being able to capture such ambiance in such a noisy environment was all thanks to the photographer's lens capture and our tacit on-site synergy.

Let's talk about the outfit first. This Maid outfit cosplay for Mihara is completely different from traditional soft cotton maid dresses; the black upper section uses high-gloss patent leather material, paired with black crisscross straps on the chest and a hollowed-out design, creating strong visual impact. A red rose decorates the chest, along with a silver metal chain around the neck and that small iron ring held in the mouth, pulling the character's rebellious edge to 100% instantly. The long purple wig was also carefully chosen with great hair strand texture; straight bangs and side wisps paired with contouring makeup allowed me to maintain high character recognition while running and wandering throughout the exhibition.

The lower skirt hem adopts classic white ruffles, but lifting the outer skirt reveals a wide red-and-black striped lining inside. This hidden detail often peeked out accidentally while walking around on site. Stepping in chunky-heeled black platform loafers paired with glossy black stockings, I really love this garter belt design with metal buckles, which contours leg lines beautifully. The reflective material of these stockings was particularly noticeable under convention overhead lights.

Regarding the Thick thighs mentioned in the comments section, I personally feel that where the garter straps press into the stockings, combined with partial coverage from the skirt hem, indeed presents a just-right visual effect. This pairing balances the docility of a maid dress with dynamic tension. Although patent leather material is quite rigid and imposes certain restrictions when bending over or making large movements, it was all worth it to accurately recreate the character.

The biggest difference between convention photos and studio shoots lies in lighting and background. Bright overhead lights at the venue provided great top lighting, casting highly three-dimensional shadows on the body. Blurred hall structures and soft figures in the background created a real environment that made the costume feel integrated into reality, offering a collision between 2D aesthetic and real life. Low-angle and high-angle perspectives also elongated outfit lines, giving impactful visual angles.

Thinking back to that day, although walking for a full day was exhausting, seeing this finished set of Convention photos made all the fatigue feel completely worth it. Photographer Liu Yao's snapshot timing was fantastic, lacking any stiff, artificially posed feel and leaning more into a relaxed, stretched state. Whether it was the moment holding the chain in mouth or lifting the skirt hem, great stills were captured amidst the bustling venue atmosphere.
