[Arknights Dusk Cosplay] The Chinese-Style Atmosphere and Ink-Wash Texture of Cyanide Jade Inkstone - Image 2

The ink-wash Chinese style undertone of this Cyanide Jade Inkstone skin for Dusk from Arknights has always made my heart flutter, and this time I finally had the opportunity to fully realize the imagination of this look in my heart. To restore that gentle yet slightly mysterious non-human feel of "Cyanide Jade Inkstone", the makeup and styling cut back a lot on the base and eye makeup, focusing instead on highlighting the contour transition of the pointed ears and the natural connection of the gradient hair color. The hair is completely smooth, straight black, with a special cyan-green gradient treatment at the ends. Paired with the uniquely shaped jade-textured beast horn headpiece, the overall visual center instantly fell on the top of the head and the face, creating a very distinct contrast in temperament.

The clothing part was a rather time-consuming link in this preparation. The multi-layered overlapping Han-element dress design, with its blue base and red pattern patchwork, looks particularly eye-catching amidst the wide white sleeves and cyan-green outer cloak. Such a color collision possesses both the grandeur of traditional colors and perfectly fits the operator's unique style. Since the skirt hem has many layers, a lot of thought went into sorting out the wrinkles of the clothes before shooting, aiming to create a visual state that is draped yet sufficiently light and flowing. This shoot was specially selected in front of a background of Chinese carved wooden doors and window lattices, surrounded by scattered ancient books and scrolls, coupled with scattered plum blossom branches hanging from the ceiling, instantly pulling the scene into an ancient style photoshoot painting realm.

Creating the atmosphere on set was the highlight of this photo set, using a large amount of dry ice smoke to simulate a visual effect of swirling mist. Because the smoke is highly fluid, each snapshot required pressing the shutter instantly when the mist happened to fill the space around the skirt, aiming for an ethereal portrait's lightweight feel while keeping the subject clear and spirited. Wearing this kind of wide-sleeved clothing in the smoke heavily tests the fluency of movements; sitting cross-legged on the spot while keeping the upper body upright is not easy, and when raising a hand to touch the horn ornament, one must prevent the sleeves from catching on the complex hairstyle. Fortunately, the captured moments perfectly presented the laziness and coolness I wanted. The cross-legged posture in the first photo is a state I find very quiet, with my gaze looking directly at the camera, beautifully highlighting the atmospheric feel of the entire work when combined with the low mist at the bottom and the wooden door behind. The hand-raising action in the second photo adds some interactive tension, and the special tattooed details on the arm are highly conspicuous.

Although the entire shoot required constantly adjusting camera positions and expressions to cooperate with the smoke, looking at the final finished photos carrying an ink painting texture, the sense of achievement was completely maxed out. The charm of this Cyanide Jade Inkstone look lies exactly in that rhythm between an ethereal vibe and ancient paintings. I hope this sharing allows everyone to feel the unique aesthetic beauty of Eastern fantasy style through our ancient style photography.
