[Mon3tr Cosplay] Hardcore Black and Green Tones of Arknights: Jungle knot

For this Mon3tr Jungle knot shoot, the outfit made heavy use of tough black leather contrasted with vibrant bright green. The overall costume has a strong sense of design—from the asymmetrical cut of the coat hem to the black tactical waist straps and metal buckles, every bit exudes a powerful industrial post-apocalyptic vibe. To fit this character's traits, a lot of effort went into hair and makeup: I selected bright green contact lenses to echo the overall color tone, added high-saturation fluorescent green highlights to my black hair, and topped it off with a pair of sharp green beast ears, looking just like an unruly presence stepping out of a mechanical engine.

During the shoot, this black-and-green color scheme stood out strikingly against the warm yellow industrial setting. We chose the steampunk set at Beijing Luoying Vision for this shoot. The setup was remarkably complete, featuring metal gears of various sizes in the background, mottled industrial pipes, and an antique wall clock, fully immersing the scene in a sense of time. The warm-toned retro lighting cast on me didn't wash out the costume's texture at all; instead, it gave the black leather a high-end sheen and made the green elements look even more dynamic. Every photo turned out with comfortable lighting and shadow details.

I got really immersed during the process and tried out various poses. For instance, when wielding that fluorescent green long sword, I had to master a sharp and vigilant posture; later, taking off the coat for a semi-seated pose allowed me to relax, projecting a lazy yet confident aura. This leather coat actually felt quite heavy to wear, especially when swinging it around—the white and green pointed inner lining would sway with the movement, full of energy. Though keeping a cold, aloof expression in front of the lens was exhausting, seeing the sharp lines carved out by the light in the final photos made every bit of effort worth it.

For this cosplay photoshoot to turn out so smoothly, I'm truly grateful to photographer Lanqiao desu for their patient capture, perfectly catching every eye contact and angle I wanted. In a heavy industrial set with a steampunk cosplay style, balancing the mechanical grand atmosphere with face close-ups is a real test of a photographer's lighting setup. From adjusting costume details beforehand to setting up lights and finding angles on set, everyone worked together with incredible chemistry. Fully immersing myself in interpreting a character like this always leaves me feeling fulfilled and satisfied after every shoot.
