[Mona cosplay] Genshin Impact Astrologist's Maid Outfit Retro House Photoshoot

When putting on this Mona Maid outfit, my biggest impression was that the feather decorations and star chart elements instantly maximized the astrologist's atmosphere. This deep purple glossy fabric paired with a white ruffled apron, a black choker, and staggered star-shaped metal chains across the chest preserves the character's original mysterious temperament in the details. The wig was styled into Mona's iconic asymmetrical twin tails, and the half-moon and star elements on the black and gold hair accessories blend seamlessly with the overall maid theme.
For this shoot, we selected an indoor scene with a strong retro style. The solid wood furniture, patterned wallpaper, and warm-toned candlelight perfectly match Mona's scholarly temperament from Genshin Impact—mysterious yet a bit cute and clumsy. The lighting in the photos leans warm, which, complemented by large areas of yellow and deep wood tones, makes the texture of the purple dress look very premium. During the shoot, the photographer kept reminding me to soften my gaze and not force any expressions, as that natural, slightly lazy look is what best embodies the essence of this outfit.
As a coser trying to replicate the character's height and physique as closely as possible, I put a lot of energy into the garment's tailoring and posing. For instance, while sitting on the retro leather sofa, the star-element fishnet stockings on my legs paired with black high heels match the everyday feel of a maid while continuing Mona's stubbornness—maintaining her nobility even in poverty. The metal chains on the props and the bow on the chest add just the right amount of layering to the overall styling. In a room packed with vintage decor, this costume full of astrological elements was not swallowed up by the environment; instead, it stood out remarkably due to the color contrast.
This shoot was not just a display of makeup and a wig, but an attempt to capture that gap moe of the character being a bit proud yet occasionally getting lost. Every time I do cosplay, I find areas where the character aligns with my own personality, and sharing these moments through the lens is always deeply meaningful.
