The final edit for this Ganyu bridal shoot is finally settled. Comparing the two color-graded versions side-by-side—specifically the difference between Image 1 and Image 2 above—there are indeed subtle variations in color temperature tint and visual atmosphere. Image 1 feels overall more transparent and luminous, with the rim-light glow of the white veil under sunlight appearing much more pronounced. Image 2, on the other hand, slightly deepens the shadows, giving the gold ornaments a richer texture. After careful comparison over time, I ultimately chose Image 1 for the cover preview because it aligns better with the sacred, light, and dreamy ambiance I envisioned during the shoot, while also catching immediate attention when browsing small thumbnails on a phone.
The design language of this outfit is exceptionally rich, utilizing white and gold as primary tones, with intricate metallic cutouts and jewel embellishments across the bodice and waistline, balanced by red tassel pendants above and below that anchor visual center. For hair, a vibrant blue wig matching the source material features a signature ahoge on top and side red-and-black hair accessories as finishing touches, imbuing the look with divine grace while keeping the character's playful charm. Regarding limb styling in Anime-style fashion, I opted for over-the-elbow white long gloves and tights, paired with white high-heeled sandals whose golden ankle straps fit the Ganyu Cosplay bridal theme seamlessly.
As for accessories, the blue-and-white spherical bouquet held on the left was handcrafted by our prop master, featuring blue satin ribbons and aqua-blue blooms that echo the hair color beautifully. The white veil functions as both a shawl and an extension of the train; during the shoot, we leveraged breezes blowing through the window or gentle tosses by the photographer to freeze airy, dynamic moments in motion.
The photoshoot took place in a interior with a rich classical European style. French grid windows on the right introduced ample natural light, casting neat windowpane shadows onto the wooden floor. A floor-standing mirror and carved marble columns on the back left enhanced depth of field and grand elegance. Sunlight striking white garments created soft highlights, while gentle reflections from the wooden floor made the silhouette stand out with striking three-dimensionality.
Because white dominates a massive portion of this look, color grading during post-processing demanded rigorous control over light and shadow. Image 1 features natural highlight roll-off without blown-out whites, whereas Image 2, despite enhancing environmental shadow depth, makes the white veil dress feel slightly heavy. Balancing both, I prioritized overall translucency to ensure skin tones in shadows remained clean and clear. Bridal-themed Cosplay photography strongly tests garment materials and lighting control on set; achieving this final result required advance location scouting, framing setup, and adjusting headpieces and bouquet placement multiple times. Sharing this today serves as a post-production retrospective. Processing these images was a unique experience—costumes combining sheer drapery and metal hardware react drastically under backlighting and side-backlighting. I hope everyone viewing these photos can feel the bright, comfortable afternoon atmosphere from that shoot.
