[Mayano Top Gun cosplay] Umamusume: Pretty Derby Birthday Countdown: Recording the Cutest Moments Across Three Outfit Changes

To match the birthday countdown theme, I specially prepared three distinctly styled outfits for this shoot to showcase different facets of Mayano Top Gun. The first set is a sporty green flight jacket paired with shorts; a stage-ready stance combined with fitted over-the-knee boots focuses on capturing the character's energetic vibe. To convey this dynamic feel, foot positioning and hand placements were adjusted multiple times during the shoot. The second set is a gentle white dress with a fluffy skirt featuring delicate lace trims and embellishments, paired with white stockings and yellow block heels. Moving around in this outfit really tested my center of gravity—to evoke that lively, playful feel, leaning slightly forward created a charming sweetheart vibe. The third set features a Halloween-themed rock aesthetic against a deep blue backdrop, dressed in a black-and-purple gothic pleated skirt, holding a white electric guitar with pumpkin lanterns as props. This set required not only expressive tension in facial expressions but also posing with an imposing strumming action to bring out the cool, dashing side of Mayano Top Gun. From lively to sweet and cool, the overall shooting process was exhausting across all three outfits. Yet to faithfully recreate the character, special attention was paid to wig styling and costume details—especially how to hold the electric guitar and the lace gloves for the dress—striving to present the most authentic texture from every angle.
