[Calstone Light O cosplay] Dark Blue Military Uniform Umamusume: Pretty Derby Studio Shoot Record - Image 1

The design details of this dark blue military uniform jacket for Calstone Light O cosplay are exceptionally rich; the blue mesh stitching on the chest and the golden diamond-shaped buttons are exquisite, while the red armband and necktie create a striking color contrast.

For this shoot, a solid white background was specifically chosen, which, paired with even studio lighting, allows the fabric textures and silhouette of the costume to stand out even more. The curved white headband with golden horn ornaments took considerable effort to properly secure in place. For makeup, yellow contact lenses and a wide blush of pink beneath the eyes were chosen to faithfully capture the character's overall persona.

To achieve a better visual presentation, I experimented with a chin-resting pose, where the wide white cuffed gloves and Black pantyhose formed a strong visual contrast. The blue lace garter on the leg is a distinctive detail that required careful positioning when worn. Switching from an outdoor to an indoor studio shoot went smoothly; although wearing a long coat and Black pantyhose under the hot studio lights was a bit stuffy, I was very satisfied with the resulting image texture. Happy to share these finished cosplay photos from Umamusume: Pretty Derby with everyone.

As a cosplayer, I always prioritize accuracy in costume, hair, and makeup. The structured tailoring of this jacket is crisp and gives off an imposing presence. When styling the hair, I set the long sideburns on both sides with hairspray to ensure clean curves in photos. During the shoot, I communicated with the photographer about light angles to reduce harsh facial shadows and make the eye catchlights pop.

The red lines and golden star patterns of this costume stand out with distinct depth against the Black pantyhose. Wearing white gloves adds a refined sense of ceremony to elegant poses. Paired with the cool porcelain makeup look, it creates a clean and crisp aesthetic. During this Casual cosplay shoot, we tried many different angles, and I'm sharing this solo shot that I'm particularly happy with.

Wig care is crucial when styling this outfit, as the long straight black hair needs to stay sleek and smooth. The red, blue, and gold color scheme is eye-catching and great for studio close-ups. Throughout the shoot, I kept an eye on the thigh garter to prevent slipping. I truly loved every styling detail displayed here, and it serves as a wonderful milestone record of this Cosplay photobook.
