[Cecilia Cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd Black Formal Dress Fitting: A Cool and Elegant Evening

This black formal dress is the fourth custom Honkai Impact 3rd cosplay costume my roommate spent a long time tailor-making for me. When I first got it, it felt reassuringly substantial, and wearing it gave off a sense of being tightly wrapped yet subtly radiating elegance. This gift prepared by Siegfried, paired with the character's silver-white long hair, highlighted Cecilia's dignified temperament blended with the sharp edge of a battlefield Valkyrie.

The main body of the dress is crafted from solid black satin, presenting a subtle luster under soft indoor lighting. The layered ruffles and pleats across the chest are handled just right, enriching visual depth without appearing overly bulky. The arms feature black semi-transparent mesh paneled splicing, complemented by a pair of short black gloves—maintaining character pose flexibility while adding a touch of veiled allure and mystery. The black lace choker around the neck serves as a finishing touch, working with the black pendant below to elongate neck lines.

I have to say, the tailoring of this formal dress fits my body shape exceptionally well. The cinched waist and bold high-slit side design on the skirt showcase slender leg lines while injecting a touch of dynamic energy into the black-and-white color scheme. The black thigh garter with silver geometric metal accessories also subtly echoes the character's combat attributes, conveying a tense readiness as if capable of plunging into battle even while wearing a formal dress.

During this photo session, our collaborating photographer Ling Cang meticulously arranged the shooting environment. For the backdrop, white semi-sheer lace curtains with intricate patterns were chosen and illuminated with soft purple ambient light. The purple glow interwoven with the black formal dress created a mysterious and refined atmosphere. Wisteria flower decorations above the curtains were also rendered ethereal under the lights, adding a layer of dreamlike color to the photo. Guided by the lens, I stroked my hair with one hand, matching a cool, aloof expression to faithfully capture the character's unyielding pride.

In 2D cosplay, beyond recreating costumes and wigs, unlocking a character's underlying temperament beneath the surface is crucial. Every time I put on this outfit, it brings back memories of classic storyline moments. Though this is a formal dress design, the moment I put it on, I could genuinely feel the composure and elegance forged through trial and sacrifice. As my fourth custom costume, the experience far exceeded expectations. Great attire, appropriate lighting, and seamless photographic chemistry combined to create wonderful memories for this fitting session. The final photo results were ideal—capturing both detailed close-ups and overall atmosphere wonderfully. Wearing this black suit of battle armor made by my roommate and given by Siegfried, my entire presence felt completely transformed.
