[Kafū Chino cosplay] Is the Order a Rabbit? Convention photos

I finally got the convention photos from this event! Huge thanks to @橡皮大表哥 for the meticulous shooting. It was truly not easy to capture these dynamic and static frames under the dense overhead lights and amidst the chaotic crowds in the exhibition hall. I am extremely satisfied with this Kafū Chino outfit. The light blue long straight hair paired with a fluffy cat-ear hat, and the deep blue gemstone bow at the neckline is the crowning touch, creating a beautiful sense of layering with the black lace trim on the dress. To recreate the character's lightness, I specially chose multiple layers of white ruffled hems and a fluffy petticoat, so that when jumping and spinning, the skirt can flare out naturally. The combination of white tights and brown loafers visually elongates the leg lines while making the overall look even more adorable and well-behaved. During the shoot, I tried a few different poses, such as capturing a mid-air jump snapshot, sitting on a small black step holding up the plush toy, and finally lying sideways on the floor, all trying my best to fit the character's quiet yet slightly playful temperament.

The lighting at the venue was quite complex, but the photographer used a wide aperture to blur the background lights into beautiful circular bokeh circles, making the subject pop out immensely. The upper-body fit of this costume is actually quite demanding on the tailoring, especially the waist-cinching at the front and the ruffles on the cuffs. It pinches a bit after wearing it for a long time, but it was all worth it for the final photo results. The temperature on the day of the convention was actually a bit high, and the indoor venue was quite stuffy. After a few rounds of shooting, the wig got a bit messy, but fortunately, the final photos turned out great, making all the time spent custom-ordering the costume and adjusting details well worth it. Actually, every time I do this kind of sweet-style cosplay, I pay special attention to the makeup—for example, softening the eyeshadow for the eye makeup while emphasizing the eyelashes and contact lens color to make the gaze look more innocent. This time, I also specially prepared a white cat plush toy as a prop. Holding it in my arms or throwing it in the air added a lot of playfulness to the pictures. Looking back at these photos now, I feel that the moment of leaping lightly was truly full of vitality.

There were actually many photographers shooting at the convention venue, but finding a photographer who is willing to spend time capturing dynamic movements and adjusting angles is truly rare. Although this look appears simple, the details behind it, such as that huge blue tail, would sway along as I walked, adding a lot of dynamic beauty. I think the most important part of cosplaying is restoring the feeling of the character, rather than just mindlessly copying the costume. After this shoot, I also gathered some experience; for instance, next time I can prepare some more detailed small items or cooperate more proactively with the photographer regarding lighting. All in all, this collection is an attempt that I like very much, and it has given me a greater understanding of how to better present sweet-style characters.
