The theme of this photoshoot is a cute tiger descending the mountain, with the overall setting leaning towards a lazy yet slightly aggressive white tiger girl. For the clothing, a black modern Cheongsam was chosen, featuring gold piping along the collar and edges, and a translucent sheer mesh splicing on the chest, layered with a white plush shawl decorated with a few small gold flowers. The wig is white twin-tails, topped with white-and-black striped animal ears, with a huge gold bell hanging on each side that makes a crisp sound when walking. The makeup highlights reddish-pink blush around the eyes and bright blue contact lenses, with red lips and specially worn tiger fangs, making the overall facial expression look more wild. For such a setting with animal ears and a tail, styling the wig is actually very time-consuming; the twin-tails need to be fixed at a specific height to ensure the headwear and bells don't clash, while also adjusting the position of the fur collar so it rests naturally on the shoulders without overshadowing the outfit.
To match the theme, I held a black long smoking pipe with red tassels hanging from the bottom. The shooting location was chosen indoors with Chinese-style carvings and calligraphy sheer curtains, and the furniture consisted of dark wood-carved tables and chairs. This dark-toned background nicely highlights the contrast between the white hair and white stockings. When posing, I tried a variety of sitting postures. For example, sitting on a wooden table with crossed legs, resting my chin on one hand and sticking out my tongue at the camera; or sitting cross-legged on the tabletop, holding the long smoking pipe and looking back sideways, which showcases the leg lines and shoe details nicely. Another pose is sitting sideways on the edge of the table, supporting myself with one hand, with a straight back to better display the tailoring of the Cheongsam and the shoulder-neck line. During the shoot, attention must be paid to the balance of the twin-tails and the stretching of the fur collar, and the prop smoking pipe needs to be held steadily to present that casual nonchalant feeling. Sitting cross-legged actually easily presses down on the hem of the clothing, requiring constant minor adjustments to the fabric direction for smoother leg lines.
In terms of details, the lower body is paired with white over-the-knee stockings, intentionally choosing an open-toe style, with red knotted tassels tied around the ankles. Red nail polish echoes the ankle ropes, adding a bright touch to the overall black-and-white tone. Because the scene lighting was relatively soft, I communicated with the photographer for a long time to find angles that could highlight the texture of the Cheongsam and the fluffiness of the fur collar. The red tassels stand out against the dark background, adding dynamic movement to the image. To highlight the sheer mesh design on the chest, I often turned slightly sideways, using light and shadow to outline the silhouette. The final photos possess both classical charm and anime-style exaggerated elements, making it an extremely satisfying photography experience. In terms of expression control, besides sticking out the tongue and showing tiger fangs, I also tried various emotions like squinting and tsundere, striving to firmly establish the label of the cute tiger. A lot of effort went into this set of photos from preliminary preparation to on-site shooting, including communication with the photographer, and the fabric and prop textures presented exceptionally well in front of the camera.
