I haven't cosplayed Sora in twelve years, and this time I took on the challenge again for CICF. Let's first talk about the overall styling concept: the cut of this White dress is exceptionally unique, featuring a high collar paired with a ruffled capelet on the chest, accented by several large round buttons, while the lower body features a hollow-out midriff-baring design complemented by exaggerated puff sleeves, creating a visual balance that is both light and slightly gorgeously classical. To match the texture of the outfit, I selected a Light gold wig. Those two loop-like ahoge (antenna hairs) on top were the hardest part of this styling, requiring hairspray, transparent thread, and wire to be repeatedly adjusted in order to fix them into that naturally upturned yet non-collapsing shape. The bangs were also trimmed into a thick, blunt straight style, with long sideburns left on both sides to flatter the face shape.

In terms of makeup, the base was kept as thin as possible while ensuring coverage, because pure white clothing easily reflects and accentuates facial dullness. The eye makeup was the main highlight; I wore large-diameter dark contact lenses, generously blending red-toned eyeshadow and blush around the eye area—a technique that makes the gaze look both innocent and slightly tinted with a hint of a yandere vibe. For the lips, I chose a glossy lip tint to give the face a more vibrant, healthy glow. Walking around in this all-white multi-layered fabric outfit at the convention venue was truly a test of stamina, especially with the puff sleeve and high collar design, where the slightest inattention could make the neck look short. Therefore, during the shoot, I consciously dropped my shoulders slightly and tucked my chin in just a bit to make the lines of the face and neck flow more smoothly.

This outdoor shoot was chosen by the roadside outside the CICF venue, flanked by fairly dense trees. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting mottled light and shadow right onto the white clothes, resulting in fantastic photo outcomes. During the shoot, I tried poses like resting a hand against my cheek or gently holding a single side ponytail. To match the character's somewhat aloof atmosphere, I kept my facial expression blank and detached. Returning to this character after twelve years, my mindset is completely different from before. In the past, I might have cared more about whether the wig looked accurate or the costume was correct; nowadays, I place much greater value on the overall atmosphere and the precision of the hair and makeup. Although this costume doesn't require complex props, styling the wig alone and sorting through the cascading layers of lace took nearly two hours. When taking outdoor photos at the convention, the white clothes indeed washed out easily under direct sunlight, but the shadows in the gaps were also heavy, requiring constant adjustments of footing to find the optimal lighting angle. Daily maintenance of this styling also took effort; the wig is prone to static electricity, so I had to carry care solution and a comb with me. The overall pace of this shoot was fairly compact, capturing a few satisfying angles within limited time, and I truly hope everyone enjoys this presentation of the look.
