When shooting this Cheshire set, I specially decorated the studio scene into a small living room with a vintage clock and blue flower clusters, aiming to recreate the character's lazy yet lively daily vibe. The iconic mint green highlights on the front bangs of the wig were layered and trimmed during processing so that it wouldn't look too heavy when worn. Paired with violet colored contacts, the focus of the gaze fits the original setting better. As for the costume, the navy blue and white patched maid outfit features a multi-layered chiffon and ruffle design. The gold thread details on the chest and cuffs were made as complete as possible. Paired with black glossy block-heel Mary Janes, the overall visual center of gravity falls beautifully on the fluffiness of the skirt hem. This time, I tried a slightly casual sitting posture, letting the wide skirt hem spread out naturally over the edge of the sofa, creating a texture contrast with the silver-gray satin layered below. The post-processing of the final retouched photos mainly focused on softening the skin tone, ensuring that the luster of the white stockings and shoe buckles wouldn't be washed out by the ambient light. Recreating a favorite character, with everything from styling to scenery drawing closer to the atmosphere in the gacha game, and using Anime-style photography to materialize 2D cuteness, is truly a great sense of accomplishment.
