This custom design Sheep Rem look has actually been in preparation for a long time. I always wanted to try adding a bit of my own touch while retaining Rem's core features. The ice-blue short hair remains an iconic presence, and the pink hairpins on the side and the curve of the bangs were repeatedly adjusted multiple times. To recreate that soft, layered feel, trimming and styling the wig took nearly two hours. The transparent-framed round glasses are the finishing touch of this custom design cosplay; wearing them instantly adds a cozy and intellectual temperament, creating a gap moe contrast with Rem's original, slightly fierce battle-girl image, which is a perfect treat for anyone with a glasses fetish.

The white fluffy jacket and animal ears headband were materials I specifically selected; the texture had to be soft and squishy so that it could convey a lazy, healing atmosphere in front of the lens. The shooting venue was chosen to be a pure white room, where the iron bed frame and white bedding set a very clean tone for the entire frame. What surprised me the most about this set of photos was the lighting. You probably wouldn't be able to tell at all that this was shot at night; the photographer used softboxes and reflectors to simulate the effect of early morning sunlight filtering through the curtains, giving the entire picture its own soft-light filter. The fluffy texture and the translucency of the skin were captured perfectly.

During the shoot, I tried different states: a moment of lying on the bed resting my chin in my hands looking toward the lens, sitting up with hands extended forward in an inviting gesture, as well as smiling with closed eyes and deep contemplation. Each frame captured Sheep Rem's quiet and slightly shy charm. The matching white over-knee socks and fluffy plush slippers maintained a high level of color uniformity, making the overall visuals highly harmonious.

In fact, to me, cosplay is not just about restoring a character, but also an expression of secondary creation. Rem is such a steadfast and gentle presence in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, and I hoped that through this custom design look, she could show a side of her daily life. Although there are a few custom modifications, I still tried my best to preserve Rem's original gaze and expression traits. The shooting process went very smoothly, and the coordination with the photographer was seamless. The entire set from light, shadow, and composition reached my expected results. I hope everyone can feel the unique warmth of this version of Rem. After all, if true love has a color, it must be the blue that represents Rem.
