This time, I shot a cosplay of Hirasawa Yui, pouring substantial preparation into everything from wig styling to wardrobe coordination. To faithfully recreate Yui's natural airheadedness and effortless ease, I specifically selected this red-and-white crochet knit vest paired with a black skirt and leggings (black stockings). The parallel yellow hairpins clipped to the side of the bangs and the star pendant necklace around my neck were sourced specifically for this shoot; while subtle, these minute details instantly breathed authentic domestic life into the character.

The photoshoot was staged in an all-white cyclorama studio to keep the visual focus squarely on the subject, illuminated with soft, even light free of harsh shadows. The first series of poses had me seated beside a blue travel bag; the three pink hearts affixed to the bag were added in post-production to harmonize with the playful tone of the original design. Resting one hand against the floor with one knee slightly bent, finding my balance was surprisingly tricky—it required engaged core strength to appear relaxed rather than stiff. The photographer kept reminding me to drop my shoulders, noting that trying too hard to execute poses with textbook precision actually stripped away that relaxed everyday casualness. Eventually, I stopped overthinking the lens, pretending I was simply lounging at home and spacing out, which gradually brought the authentic mood into focus.

The second setup featured sitting cross-legged on the floor with both hands resting lightly on my knees, leaning slightly forward toward the camera. In this frame, the ambient catchlight fell directly into my eyes, lending a vibrant, lively sparkle. The black stockings showed crisp, clean texture under this lighting, with delicate highlights sculpting the contours of my legs. Because the hairstyle is a short bob with blunt bangs, it softly rounded facial contours, beautifully enhancing that unguarded cuteness unique to the character. Occasionally introducing candid micro-expressions—like scratching my head or stifling a yawn—or simply sitting there gazing ahead without posing at all effortlessly captured that wonderfully dazed, cozy daily rhythm.

In reality, this outfit is quite comfortable to wear; the breathable knit fabric felt great, though minding the skirt length while seated was necessary to avoid wardrobe slips during broader movements. Achieving optimal compositions meant continuously adjusting sitting angles and limb placements back and forth across multiple takes. Thanks to the climate-controlled studio, the shoot proceeded smoothly, though sitting on the unyielding floor for extended periods inevitably left my ankles and knees a bit stiff.

Post-processing prioritized realistic skin texture and gentle tonal roll-off, deliberately avoiding excessive skin smoothing to preserve authentic skin grain. The background was kept clean and minimal to guide the viewer's eye entirely to the character. Overall, this photoset captures my personal understanding of Hirasawa Yui while remaining faithful to the original canon in wardrobe and props. I hope everyone viewing these photos can feel that soothing, easygoing tranquility.
