[Sparkle cosplay] A Fool of a thousand faces, playing with the mortal world

Putting on this outfit of Sparkle and standing in the corridor, that fleeting sense of trance was quite wonderful. The design of the collar section and the accessories at the waist hold many details; to restore the character's agility, this vivid red-themed costume with a touch of ethnic style was specially chosen for the shoot. The photographer's control over light and shadow was also fantastic; the nighttime lanterns and wooden structures brought out a bustling yet mysterious vibe peculiar to Sparkle. When shooting this set of photos, because the scene's wooden traditional-style corridor has a complex structure, we tried many different compositions—some leaning against the railings waving the small bell, others carrying a fish lantern and looking up. My favorite is the one standing right in the center of the walkway, which perfectly utilizes the depth of the red lanterns on both sides to create a sense of space. In terms of props, that small pellet drum and fox mask were absolute must-haves; the moment they were held in hand, the character's temperament came alive. The mask isn't just for covering up; holding it in hand or wearing it askew on the face allows for different emotional expressions. Sparkle's personality inherently carries that willfulness and hidden emotions behind jokes, so I intentionally leaned in that direction during my movements and expressions, striving to present that elusive, unpredictable feeling of the character. The color grading in post-processing coordinated with the night-scene vibe, letting the reds and the warm background light blend more naturally. This kind of traditional-element古风 street scene truly suits Sparkle perfectly. Although the range of movements was quite large, walking around in this outfit actually felt pretty smooth.
