Putting on this Sunna outfit and standing in front of a pure white background felt truly special. The mint green wig paired with the iconic geometric hair accessories and the little heart on the forehead took almost an hour just for styling. From the ruffles on the shirt and the white belt to the boldly colored bow at the waist, every tiny detail was aimed at staying true to the character design. What I love most is the little white angel pattern on the orange tie—though small, it stands out brilliantly in this girlish outfit.

For this shoot, I chose the cleanest pure white backdrop without complex sets because Sunna's own colors are vibrant enough. The sleeves and leg warmers with pink and white stripes are visually striking; while striped elements are common among 2D characters, Sunna's version feels even more lively. The black buckled leg garter and mint green bows on the legs not only add depth, but also give the overall styling a touch of playful techwear aesthetic. The chunky platform leather shoes were the key pairing—they visually elongate the leg lines while balancing out the short skirt and leg garter.

During shooting, I experimented with two different poses: one casually raising a hand as if waving hello, and the other making a heart with both hands. I felt the heart gesture fit Sunna's adorable personality better, while the waving shots were packed with vibrant energy. However, when picking the cover photo, I leaned toward the full-body shot sitting on the stool—the leg lines stretch out naturally, and the black pleats of the skirt, the leather leg garter straps, the striped leg warmers, and the platform shoes are all fully visible in a well-balanced, non-cramped composition.

As for the makeup, I specifically emphasized the eye contours, blending soft pinks and light browns to soften my gaze, creating a fresh contrast with the mint green wig. The wig actually took quite some time to style; the side locks and ends needed a natural downward drape without looking stiff, and the hair accessories had to be firmly anchored to prevent them from shifting with movement. The shoot lasted around two hours, and despite constantly readjusting poses, the resulting photos turned out even better than expected.

As a dedicated cosplay photography endeavor, I believe faithfully recreating a character relies not just on costumes, but also on expressions and body language. Sunna naturally carries a relaxed and carefree vibe, so I tried to stay as relaxed as possible in front of the lens rather than striking stiff, forced poses. The angle of my fingers when making a heart and the curve of my wrist when waving were fine-tuned repeatedly just to make each frame look natural. For post-processing, we mainly did basic color grading, preserving the original white backdrop and natural skin tones while enhancing the costume's color saturation.

Many people wonder how such intricate accessories are worn; secure fastening is key. For instance, the leg garter and sleeves have elastic bands, but walking around still makes them slide down, requiring constant adjustments during shooting. The belt also needs to cinch at the narrowest part of the waist; the white leather belt with metal grommets visually raises the waistline, making the short skirt look fluffier. Although this outfit is packed with details, wearing it wasn't tedious at all, and those bows served as perfect finishing touches.

Overall, this Sunna cosplay shoot was a delightful experience. From the wig and makeup to the costume accessories, every step strived to stay true to the original design. The beauty of a pure white background is that it allows total focus on the person without background distractions. If given the chance in the future, I'd love to shoot Sunna in more realistic everyday scenes like a classroom or street setting to see what different vibes emerge. But I'm already thrilled with the studio results—especially the combination of pink and white stripes with mint green, which came out looking so refreshing on camera.
