[Angels of Delusion Chinatsu Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero's Refreshing Angel, Convention Photos

This photo was taken recently at an anime convention shoot venue. There happened to be a clean piece of light-colored floor tile, so I crouched down for a candid snapshot. Although the pose looks very simple, controlling my center of gravity was quite a test. For this Angels of Delusion Chinatsu Cosplay, the overall visual focus rests on the pink and white color palette and the wing props on the back.

Starting with the head accessories, the short light green hair paired with matching hair ornaments looks wonderfully refreshing at first glance, perfectly fitting Chinatsu's character concept. The white heart-shaped sunglasses on the forehead serve as a finishing touch; worn atop the head like a cap decoration, they add a cute, playful vibe without obscuring eye details. For the eye area, I chose green contact lenses that echo the hair color, bringing high harmony to the overall eye makeup.

The red bow and light blue circular pendant at the neck are eye-catching small design touches. They break the monotony of the pink-and-white contrast, with red accents making the neck line look more dynamic, bringing a refined Japanese magical girl aesthetic. Costume-wise, the pink wide straps and white skirt hem feature clear layering, while the white metal-buckled wide belt around the waist not only serves as decoration but also cinches the waistline nicely, making the upper and lower body proportions look more natural.

The pink arm sleeves are packed with details, featuring precise white panel stitching along the edges and neatly aligned metal rivets. The red ring wristbands mirror the red neck collar; though merely accessories, they create strong visual unity. The wing props weren't made into oversized plush wings; instead, smooth white acrylic-textured wing blades were chosen. This material catches a subtle glare under strong lighting, giving the overall look a hint of futuristic tech aesthetic that fits seamlessly into Zenless Zone Zero's cyberpunk world.

During shooting, I kept my center of gravity low, allowing the camera to capture a high-angle overhead shot. This top-down perspective nicely connects facial expressions with the root structure of the wings, while the gray-and-white floor tones highlight the lighter outfit colors. These convention photos under natural light feel more grounded in real life than studio shoots, making it easier to convey the character's relaxed, casual, yet slightly tsundere vibe.

The design style for this character in Zenless Zone Zero is a hybrid of light sci-fi and 2D cute aesthetics. Therefore, during casual cosplay prep, I paid special attention to keeping the makeup light and retaining clean facial contours. Matte base products were used, blush was kept subtle, and focus was placed on eyeshadow and eyeliner with a simple overlay of pinks and earth tones to soften the gaze. For lip color, a light rose matte lip glaze was selected, matching the overall sweet freshness.

Though convention lighting wasn't top-tier that day, sunlight falling across the face and white skirt created beautiful light-and-shadow layering. Often in convention environments with limited conditions, plain paved surfaces like this gray-and-white road can look empty if mismanaged. However, capturing the character's posture and expressions well, alongside prop placement, turns that emptiness into great negative space that draws all eyes straight to the subject.

Pairing high-saturation pink with white really tests material texture. Fortunately, the garment fabric was crisp rather than limp; otherwise, wide straps and belt structures can easily look cheap. The skirt hem features multi-layered ruffled paneling that flares naturally when walking or crouching, creating great dimensional depth.

What attracts me most about Angels of Delusion Chinatsu is her seemingly harmless exterior hiding cool, edgy details underneath. Elements like the sunglasses atop her head, back wings, and chest emblems are nowhere superfluous, forming a unique aura together. Cosplaying her means more than wearing clothes; it's about showcasing her dynamic charm as she moves through the city with a blend of mystery and sweetness.

After wrapping up this shoot, my favorite remains this crouching composition, as it balances facial expressions and costume detail display while keeping body lines relaxed in frame. If I cosplay this character again, I'd love to try more dynamic actions like looking back over the shoulder. All in all, I'm very satisfied with these Zenless Zone Zero convention photos for Angels of Delusion Chinatsu Cosplay. If fine details need tweaking next time, I can adjust the neck collar size to fit even closer.
