Komaniya Express, always delivering on the promise! This time, I chose to challenge cosplaying Inazuma's most reliable courier for this client photoshoot set. As a Nekomata yokai from the world of Genshin Impact, Kirara's first impression on me was her overflowing vitality, and her intricate design details filled me with great anticipation for this shoot.

Starting from makeup and hair preparation, the recreation work was meticulously executed. The blonde wig needed to be combed into natural layers with realistic hair flow, paired with her iconic emerald-green contact lenses to make her gaze appear clearer and more dynamic. The makeup emphasized youthful lively charm without overly heavy embellishments. Of course, what took the most effort were those animal feature accessories: the blue-and-black beast ears on top had a wonderful white plush texture inside, but required multi-point fixation using hair clips and glue to ensure they wouldn't shift during various action poses or look unnatural due to camera angles.

In terms of costume presentation, this outfit is packed with an asymmetrical sense of design. The blue, brown, and white color-blocked midriff-baring top is complemented by delicately crafted gold cord knots, along with various small ornaments shaped like flowers and gears, creating extremely rich visual layers. The most interesting aspect lies in those two large fluffy tails. To simulate the realistic drape of a Nekomata's tails, internal support structures were built inside them, yet turning around or raising arms during studio shoots still required deliberate muscle control to maintain the tail angles so that the captured motion would look more vivid and natural. The cat paw shoes at the bottom were also a fantastic prop accent, with pink pads on the soles making the overall look even more adorable.

We divided this shoot into two completely distinct scenes. One was a dreamy real-life set equipped with wooden racks and swing ropes. Surrounded by purple vines and pink cherry blossoms under warm light, it created a serene rustic courtyard feel. In this scene, holding the iconic delivery cardboard box, sitting inside the box, or leaning against the structure all conveyed a casual and relaxed mood. The other scene was a clean, pure white studio. This minimalist backdrop tests costume details and the model's emotional expression the most; in this setting, we could express the character's signature playfulness entirely through body curves and the sweep of the tails.

The shooting process required constant synergy with the photographer. For example, in Figure 3 where I sat inside the cardboard box extending my feet toward the lens, we needed to ensure proper leg proportions while keeping facial expressions relaxed and confident. To recreate her efficient yet approachable demeanor when picking up and delivering packages, I attempted various poses such as resting my hand on my chin, spreading my palms, and holding the delivery box up to my chest, repeatedly adjusting hand angles and box tilts for each frame. To maintain a fluffy and 3D visual presence for both tails, an assistant out of frame was dedicated to manually adjusting the tails' hanging direction.

The entire shoot was not only a test of the costume, but also a refinement of body posture control. Just like the Nekomata lore in Genshin Impact, I needed to demonstrate a gap-moe blending feline agility with a dedicated professional attitude. Although carrying two massive tails drained a lot of physical stamina, seeing those atmosphere-packed frames in the final photos made every effort feel thoroughly worth it. The photography and makeup team were exceptionally professional, demonstrating precise light control over flowers, wooden racks, and studio softboxes. Paired with her iconic cat cardboard box, it completely brought out Kirara's courier vitality and lived-in warmth, making this a truly fulfilling Cosplay photography experience.
