[Kirara cosplay] Genshin Impact Cat Girl Convention photos: Caviar Delivery is Here! - Image 1

The first shot of the Convention photos is finally ready, featuring Kirara cosplay from Genshin Impact. The most tedious part of the preparation was styling the Kemonomimi girl ears and the wig. To keep the ears standing upright, I built an inner wire armature with a sponge layer, ensuring they wouldn't flop no matter how much I shook my head. Wig styling took two attempts; after straightening the sideburns with a flat iron, I set them with hairspray before fixing them in place. The blue checkered block pattern of the coat and the circular gold rope knot on the chest are both finely crafted. The inner black sleeve covers are quite tight with diamond cutouts on the outer side, and because the long decorative nails restricted finger movements, I had to handle small props like the caviar tin with extreme care to keep from snagging the fabric.

The shoot took place in front of a solid dark blue backdrop. Sitting on a white plush rug on the floor to strike a natural kneeling pose, I had to manually spread out the skirt folds to display its flowing silhouette. Sitting like that made my legs fall numb quickly, so I discreetly relaxed my ankles between takes. Lu Ming was very experienced, guiding me to adopt a slightly upward-looking gaze to bring out an agile, spirited aura. When he handed me the caviar, we both burst out laughing, which instantly dissolved any lingering tension and helped capture a genuinely natural smile. For makeup, I chose green-blue contacts that matched the character, angled the eyeliner upward slightly, and applied subtle blush to evoke a bright, lively charm. Ambient studio lights were somewhat mixed and Polaroid output was unpredictable, but the final Convention photos came out exceptionally clear, nicely highlighting the texture of the garments. The studio lights were bright, and cool lighting cast against the deep blue curtain cleanly emphasized the fluffy blue-and-white collar. When tackling characters like this, the biggest fear is flyaway wig fibers, so I kept a small bottle of styling spray in my bag at all times.

Convention day was truly exhausting yet fulfilling. The outfit features many straps, making restroom visits quite inconvenient, and it has some weight to it. Unexpectedly, everyone loved this cat-girl look from Genshin Impact, and friends even teased that I should win the grand prize at the game awards. The character is naturally spirited, alert, and eager for closeness; to capture that temperament, I experimented extensively with gazes and gestures, and I am thrilled that these efforts resonated with everyone. The quality of the costume and props, the fluffy tail, and the prop in hand all helped me immerse myself. The final photos radiate a great ambiance—more than just a photo, it was a thoroughly enjoyable Anime cosplay journey.
