This time we chose to shoot this set in a flower field on a summer night. The temperature at night finally dropped, but there were still plenty of mosquitoes in the grass, so I had to spray more than half a bottle of bug repellent before daring to walk in. The color scheme of this outfit is very refreshing, alternating between blue and white, with an orange string at the neckline to provide a visual highlight. There is quite a bit of snowflake embroidery on the pinafore dress, and the hem features a blue-and-white diamond-patterned patchwork design, making the layering very prominent when walking. The translucent blue wing props behind are the focal point of this styling; the material itself is reflective, and under the fill light of photographer @Kaikai, they present a sparkling texture, forming a clear warm-and-cool contrast with the surrounding warm-yellow flower sea. The makeup and styling for the shoot were helped by Zhinv Zhi; the light blue wig was trimmed with layers and paired with bright blue colored contacts to match the ice attribute setting. Since the shooting time was at night, the ambient light was very dim, which heavily tested the lighting. We tried different lighting angles, and the final effect did not disappoint me. The poses in the pictures, like resting hands on hips or supporting the chin, were meant to make the clothing silhouette and character proportions look more coordinated. The white lace-trimmed socks under the skirt also match the overall look very well. Many people think that shooting such night view location portraits just requires standing there and pressing the shutter, but in reality, even a slight deviation in the fill light angle will significantly reduce the reflective effect on the character's face and wing props. The setup required constant adjustments of the camera position and flash parameters. Although the night temperature was pleasant, running around in the grass wearing this outfit for a few hours still made me sweat quite a bit on the inner layers. In front of the lens, I tried my best to maintain a posture that carried a sense of coldness yet remained somewhat playful. The light and flower shadows in the flower field hit the clothes, combining these flat elements into a three-dimensional picture. The overall photo effect has a very cool summer night vibe, which is exactly the presentation I wanted.
